Clients are signing up for items/events and then when they go to checkout the cart is dumping and not processing “payment”

    Hi urbanexcursions,

I’m sorry to hear you are hitting up against difficulties.

I visited your site, located an event with tickets and successfully proceeded to checkout, but of course it seems you’ve customized things so that I would need a login and credits to actually buy.

I’m curious, how have you implemented this (credit system/log in to pay)? Is it a piece of custom work or the result of one or more addons in addition to WooCommerce and our own plugin?

Have you tested (on a development site) without that same setup in place, ie with just our plugin, WooCommerce and a default theme and does the same thing occur then?

    Hi Barry,
This is something that my web developer pieced together and who is no longer working with me. I have just begun working with some new developers who are completely baffled at my set up. So to answer your question for someone who has no idea about how the development happened, I believe there is both some customization and some add-ons. I really need someone at Modern Tribe to discuss this complex system with, it has been a constant issue.
    Please heelllppp!

Sorry to hear that – it can definitely be a pain when you have a very bespoke system if someone who has key knowledge about it disappears from the scene 🙁

While I definitely sympathize, from our perspective that also makes it tricky to figure out what the problem might be since – as you can appreciate – highly custom setups are by definition unique and so we will not be familiar with them.

It sounds like you do have some developers at your disposal, though. Is it possible that they could duplicate your site and, within the safety of a testing environment, run through our standard troubleshooting steps? This might help to further narrow down the seat of the problem (which, conceivably, may be a conflict with some other component altogether).

Let me know if that’s possible and how you get on 🙂

    Thanks Barry,
What I really need is to speak with somebody in person to just get a basic understanding to even how and what Modern Tribe does and what the Events Calendar is capable of and how it interacts with Woo Commerce. While I appreciate your timely response, I really need to get a little more support then this format. Surely there is some point in which I can speak with somebody in person. Can you please advise, I don’t really have the days that the back and forth email requires. Again, I know that is how the support system works, but I need a little more support then that.
    Thanks for your help

    Hi urbanexcursions,

I’m sorry but technical support is delivered here on the forums – we do not offer in-person voice or video based support.

At this point I would also highlight that, while we of course we are happy to point you in the right direction wherever we can, customization and integration issues are typically out of scope.

If this is indeed a problem that only occurs with the particular custom setup you are using (as opposed to being a more general issue we can easily replicate ourselves) that tends to be the sort of thing where it makes most sense to go back to the implementing designer/developer or, if you have lost contact with them, some other suitably skilled person.

However, I’m not sure if we’ve established that yet and so I’d definitely encourage you (or your developers) to run through the steps I suggested previously – establishing a test site, especially for a typical WordPress developer, is something that shouldn’t take very long and this offers an excellent change of pinning down the source of the conflict.

Last but not least, while we can’t commit to replying any more frequently than within 24hrs of your last reply (and then only within the working week), as you’ve hopefully discovered in the course of this exchange we do try and regularly manage to exceed that goal, so you hopefully will not have too many multi-day gaps between responses.

Let me know how you get on 🙂
