ParticipantWe upgraded to Events Calendar Pro.

MemberHi Priyanka,
I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties.
Events Calendar PRO builds and depends upon our free, core plugin – The Events Calendar. Can you confirm that both of these are installed and activated?

ParticipantHello Berry,
No where in the documentation it was mentioned that we have to activate both plugins.
Anyway, I can now see the Events option on the left.
Now the Problem is I cant see Filter bars options in settings.
We want to use Filter bars and and photo view to list events like this
http://wpshindig.com/events/photo/
One of the main reason why we upgraded to Events calendar pro was to be able use filter bars.

I’m sorry that wasn’t clear enough but actually this is detailed in one of the opening paragraphs of the New User Primer, which we link to from both the main product page and the thank you email you should have received after making the purchase.
Additionally, if you install and activate Events Calendar PRO and The Events Calendar is not yet installed, it will add a notice to the top of the plugin admin screen telling you that you need to install it.
With that in mind I feel we’ve made some pretty reasonable efforts on this count but we’re definitely open to your feedback if you’ve got further suggestions that would help us make this requirement even more obvious 🙂

So it sounds like you are interested in the advanced filtering offered by our Filter Bar plugin, which is indeed a pretty awesome tool.
This is a quite separate plugin, though, that you would need to purchase and install – as those capabilities are not added by Events Calendar PRO alone.
I hope that clarifies things!

ParticipantHello Barry,
Will Filter Bar plugin work without Events Calendar Pro?
We actually only want to use to Advance filtering.

MemberFilter Bar will indeed work without Events Calendar PRO – though, like PRO, it also requires and depends upon The Events Calendar 🙂

ParticipantHi Barry,
We purchased Events Calendar PRO instead of Filter Bar.
Is it possible to get Filter bar instead of Events Calendar Pro?April 8, 2015 at 12:02 pm #954156Barry
MemberWe don’t currently offer direct swaps, I’m afraid, but you could certainly email us (with a copy of your purchase receipt), explain the situation – a link to this topic should do – and request a refund for your purchase of Events Calendar PRO.
Please contact us at:
support at theeventscalendar dot com
Thanks!
