MemberHi rogerswd,
What’s odd is if I import the same event from Eventbrite the cost range displays as expected. Something odd definitely seems to be happening on your clients site since, of course, it is not showing the correct range and in fact the range is backwards with a higher cost first and a lower cost second.
Do you have a test site available?
If you set this to have only a default, unmodified theme along with the latest versions of The Events Calendar and Eventbrite Tickets activated (but nothing else) do you find the same issue occurs?
Assuming for the moment it does not, can you continue to add components from the live site such as the theme and other plugins in an effort to discover if the same problem “comes back”. Bear in mind you would need to trash then delete completely the imported event between each stage of this process (otherwise the correctly imported price range would persist through troubleshooting, if that makes sense).
Can we give that a go? I realize it requires some extra effort, but given other users are not reporting the same thing and I cannot replicate it myself on a clean installation with the same source event, it does suggest a conflict may be at work.

MemberIs there anything different about the URL when you navigate to it through your usual channels?
Could there be a correlation between the occurrence of the bug and your login status (ie, does it happen exclusively when you are logged in)?

MemberThanks Steven – we didn’t account for the limitations of 32bit servers and we’ll soon have a fix available to resolve this: thanks for your continued patience – I shouldn’t be too far away now.

MemberInteresting: I’m afraid I can’t replicate the problem in its simplest form – if I import an event with multiple prices, the price range is rendered correctly when the imported event is displayed.
Are there any other factors (such as tickets that have limited sale dates) that might be impacting?
Usually ticket prices are set, but there might be the slight possibility that we would need to modify them once the information has already been imported.
They ought to come into sync after no more than a 2hr delay (by default) – are you finding that is not happening?

MemberHi Mary,
So the theme includes a function called nimbus_seo_title() – this resets the query and causes the breakage.
It’s not clear to me why they need to do that – I wonder if you could reach out to the theme authors and ask if it is something they could review, unless there is a compelling reason to do it?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberThanks – you can remove that piece of code.
My guess is the theme is noodling with queries when it shouldn’t be and unfortunately I can’t determine how/why exactly by looking at the browser.
Can you upload a .zip of the theme to your site/a service like Dropbox and share the URL here? I can’t make any guarantees, but I can take a quick look and see if something obvious jumps out at me.

MemberOK. Might the problem be the extra loop you’ve added within your custom default-template.php? Try commenting it out/removing it temporarily – do things work then?
If so, perhaps you need to clean up immediately after:

MemberOK – and can you confirm this remaining duplicate is something that was generated when you recently updated (and which versions did you update from and to when this was created)?
It’s possible the script can be modified, but without knowing what’s going on in your database or how this remaining duplicate was created it’s difficult to say how, exactly.
That is not the duplicateโฆ There are two separate events with the same title. One of them has a time stamp from 12am โ 2pm and another has a time stamp of 12pm โ 2pm. Both of these have their own duplicates duplicates.
OK, so the one running from 12pm – 2pm seems to have the slug stephen-ministry, in that case. Can you trash those instead?
Since entire sequences of recurring events can be trashed by editing them using the Trash link in the editor, this may be a far faster way to deal with the problem than by modifying the script (even if you need to trash two sequences and then regenerate it, that is likely to be the fastest way forward).

MemberHi Mary,
If you feel comfortable doing so can you add the following line of code to your site’s wp-config.php file:
define( 'SCRIPT_DEBUG', true );
Usually you will find a line in that file reading something like this:
/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
Please just add the new line on a blank line somewhere just above that (this will allow me to more easily see what’s going wrong and where – and we can remove it later on).

MemberThat is strange.
Yesterday I tested on a range of browsers myself and could not see this, and this morning I just asked my team mates to check on their own machines/with different browsers and, again, no problem was encountered (except on very old browsers).
I can’t think of a reasonable explanation for that, except perhaps I’ve misunderstood the problem somewhere along the line and we are actually looking at different things.
The problem is that when you try to go to the next month or previous month you just get a spinning wheel.
I’ve been assuming that you were experiencing this issue on the following page:
http://www.pinemountainlake.com/?post_type=tribe_events
Can you confirm that is also where you are looking? Are there any other factors that might be relevant (does this happen all of the time, or within certain time ranges/busy periods)?

MemberHi Anita,
I understand what you’re describing – I just don’t encounter it myself. The spinner appears, but is replaced within seconds by the next page.
One thought was that the problem might have been browser specific, but I seem unable to replicate the problem regardless of whether I try Internet Explorer 11 or the latest versions of Chrome or Firefox – so that seems not to be relevant.
Can I ask, are you logged in to the site when you see this? Do you still see the problem if you log out?

MemberOK – please send an example of a problematic CSV file to us at this address:

Be sure to include a link to this topic and, ideally, make the subject FAO Barry. Once we receive it and I have a chance to review it, we’ll continue the discussion here – thanks ๐
