ParticipantI currently took over this website to update and support, I have no experience in website Design so when I look at the forums I see that there are others with the same problem I’m having but I don’t understand how to fix it. The problem is that when you try to go to the next month or previous month you just get a spinning wheel. I have also just purchased the event calendar pro and would like to know you there is a good tutorial out there to help me just it on my site? Remember I’m very new at this.
Here is my site: http://www.pinemountainlake.com

MemberHi Ken,
Sorry to hear you are encountering some difficulties.
When I visit your main events page it seems to work for me: which browser (and which version) are you using? Do you find the problem persists on all browsers, or are there any special steps I would need to take to see the problem?
Let me know 🙂

ParticipantWhen you go to the calendar and try to load the next page or next month you get the spinning wheel. If I change the view to list from month or vice versa then go back and try to load the next month or list it will load. I’m using IE 11 and I just purchased Events Calendar Pro so I would think it’s up to date. Also when I go to help it has I’m up to date.

MemberHi Anita,
I understand what you’re describing – I just don’t encounter it myself. The spinner appears, but is replaced within seconds by the next page.
One thought was that the problem might have been browser specific, but I seem unable to replicate the problem regardless of whether I try Internet Explorer 11 or the latest versions of Chrome or Firefox – so that seems not to be relevant.
Can I ask, are you logged in to the site when you see this? Do you still see the problem if you log out?

ParticipantThat’s just weird I’ve had several co-workers log in on different web browsers and they all have the same issue. So I don’t know where to go from here.

MemberThat is strange.
Yesterday I tested on a range of browsers myself and could not see this, and this morning I just asked my team mates to check on their own machines/with different browsers and, again, no problem was encountered (except on very old browsers).
I can’t think of a reasonable explanation for that, except perhaps I’ve misunderstood the problem somewhere along the line and we are actually looking at different things.
The problem is that when you try to go to the next month or previous month you just get a spinning wheel.
I’ve been assuming that you were experiencing this issue on the following page:
http://www.pinemountainlake.com/?post_type=tribe_events
Can you confirm that is also where you are looking? Are there any other factors that might be relevant (does this happen all of the time, or within certain time ranges/busy periods)?

ParticipantWhen I use the Link that you sent it does go to the next month, but when I go to the website I get the same problem. I also I have some of our Property owners call or email me with this problem. Is there any other information I need to send you?

MemberIs there anything different about the URL when you navigate to it through your usual channels?
Could there be a correlation between the occurrence of the bug and your login status (ie, does it happen exclusively when you are logged in)?

ParticipantOK so when I look at the URL on our home page it’s this http://www.pinemountainlake.com/ and when I go to the event calendar the URL is this http://www.pinemountainlakedev.dreamhosters.com/?post_type=tribe_events can this be my problem? And if so how do I fix it?

MemberAh hah, now it clicks together.
So I’d assume it is your/your developer’s test site, or something of that order and all you really need to do is edit that page and change the link.
This isn’t a problem created by our plugin, however, it’s just that whomever set that page up left an outdated link in there – presumably prior to the site “going live”, but you’ll likely have more insight into the background of how the site was put together than I will.
By contrast, if you click through to the event linked to via the Countdown Widget on the homepage – and then follow the All Events link (this link is generated by our plugin) you will see it takes you to the correct place.
Does that help?

ParticipantI am also having the spinning issue. I am using the PRO version of the calendar which I have placed into one of the footer sections as a widget. When you click on the left or right arrows to go to the previous or next month, nothing loads and just keeps spinning.
Thanks,

ParticipantI just purchased the event calendar pro. I’ve looked but can’t find how to do a few things.
1. make the event calendar show on front page. i have changed my theme to not show content, just widgets. i put in the mini calendar but no title shows and it doesn’t show events on the day. i turn on content but still no calendar with events inside. (someone earlier posted their link and I’d like our front page to look like this http://www.pinemountainlakedev.dreamhosters.com/?post_type=tribe_events)
2. on widgets it doesn’t show the title and doesn’t change background colors when i use styling from my theme that works on other widgets.May 20, 2015 at 1:06 pm #963977Barry
MemberHi Cheryl and Vicki – we’d be happy to help but please do post new topics of your own.
Jumping into someone else’s topic, even if your own issue initially seems similar, can cause confusion and make it difficult for us to assist the original poster.
Thanks!
