You can certainly obtain earlier versions of our premium plugins here (and earlier versions of The Events Calendar itself here).

I don’t recommend downgrading – and, since you will be reintroducing bugs that have since been fixed, the amount of support we can offer if you choose to follow that path will naturally be more limited for as long as you stay with an older version – but the choice is ultimately yours 🙂

Remember that there will still be potential for other issues to surface from the same problem (which is that your theme calls an undefined function within the footer, stopping further code from running). It might be in a lot of cases you can “get away with it”, but it’s definitely something to be mindful of.

So I’m not sure why you’re experiencing these problems: as you point out, the last URL you shared contains 3 valid events. However, where I was able to import it without any difficulties it sounds like you were not.

Similarly, the Meetup.com webcal URL you shared works as expected when I test it. So, whatever the problem, it does sound like it is specific to your site (it’s possible there is some sort of conflict at work for you locally, or perhaps it is even an issue stemming from your hosting environment).

Let’s try to rule out the possibility of a theme/plugin conflict first of all – can you run through these steps?

If it works, that’s the main thing – it’s certainly a faster way to achieve your objectives than some of the other possibilities 🙂

Did anything trigger this (an update to our own plugins or to other plugins/your theme, or even a settings change somewhere)?

Are you using an SEO plugins – does deactivating them help with this problem specifically?
