MemberThanks Andy! Tiana: how are you getting on here?

MemberHi again Sandro: I can’t replicate this in relation to the main calendar view so it’s possible it is theme-specific. Can you try the usual steps and see if this problem disappears when for instance you use an unmodified copy of Twenty Eleven?
Thanks!

MemberHi Sandro- thanks for the video. That looks awfully similar to this bug which affects the calendar widget – but give me a chance to see if I can replicate it and I’ll get back to you.

MemberHi guys! Can I just remind everyone that we have a thread open where you are welcome to post any feature requests you’d like to see integrated into a future version.
Keith: are you referring to the PDF ticket that is generated?

MemberNo problem at all, that’s what we’re hear for 🙂
If you could pose any unrelated questions in new threads that would be appreciated – apart from anything else it’s helpful for other users who might be searching for the same topic.
Thanks!

MemberThanks Craig – I’m sorry you had to run through these hoops to get everything working. Hopefully it all goes a little more smoothly next time.
Thanks for your support and patience while we worked through this 🙂

MemberI appreciate the problem is sporadic; but if for instance you know with near certainty that it will occur after 30 minutes/1 hour/x period of time can you leave everything else disabled for that period of time?
After talking to others on the team, it turns out that my information on pretty permalink patterns other than %postname% may be out of date and I cannot replicate what you are describing.
Barry
MemberB., I was just doing some further testing (in fact I borrowed the same permalink structure you are using) and see no problems at all.
Is it possible something else is impacting – and have you run through the standard steps of disabling other plugins and reverting to a default theme?

MemberWell, yes, you should see a number of fields relating to each premium plugin in which you can enter your keys. If you aren’t, then that’s either a conflict with another plugin or possibly because of the disparity in versions between the various Modern Tribe plugins that you are currently running.
I think the best course of action here would be to update manually, especially if you are unable to use automated updates for your premium plugins.
The basic process is the same as uploading and installing a plugin manually, albeit you will be overwriting the existing version of each plugin. That process is outlined here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation
Essentially, you would download the .zip archives for both Events Calendar PRO and Community Events to your local computer and extract them there.
You should be left with two directories – events-calendar-pro and the-events-calendar-community-events – if you don’t then it’s possible you’ll find them inside the extracted folders.
Now upload those to the wp-content/plugins directory, overwriting the existing ones.
Does that make sense/clear as mud?

MemberAll I can really say is let us know if it does happen again; the upgrade path isn’t always smooth for everyone for a wide variety of different reasons – but we’re happy to help if we can.
Barry
MemberWell, give it a go and see how you get on 🙂
I suspect it won’t be quite as simple as that but it shouldn’t be massively more complex, either. I don’t want to offer up a one size fits all solution though as I don’t know exactly what you have in mind nor do I know what theme you are using, or various other factors.
But if you can flesh out your idea and let me or another team member know how you’re getting on and what you’re having trouble with we might be able to offer a prod in the right direction.
Barry
MemberThere isn’t a great deal of insight I can offer you here, I’m afraid, other than to say various permalink patterns and indeed default permalinks don’t tend to work very well.
We’re definitely aware of this and my understanding is that the next major release of The Events Calendar will include changes to the way permalinks/URLs are handled – I’m unsure if the sort of pattern you have described will work at that point or not, but I’ll certainly try to check in with one of the developers and ask 🙂
Barry
MemberOK – glad it’s all sorted; strange that that carried over when you switched theme, though, but the main thing is you’re good to go. Thanks for updating us 🙂
Barry
MemberHi Rona – we are reviewing this process right now and apologise for any inconvenience. Could I ask you to email us at [email protected]? We’d be happy to help our with the renewal.
