Tooltip on Event list customization.

I’m using the Event List template instead of the calendar grid for my events. Since I’ve modified the lit.php file to only show the event title, time and location, how difficult would it be to copy the tooltip function from the grid layout to the list layout to work when hovering over the event title?

So long as you are confident with CSS or JS (depending on how you intend to display and hide the tooltip) and are reasonably comfortable with PHP I wouldn’t imagine this to be terribly tricky 🙂

Very comfortable with CSS, functional with PHP… JS – not so much! lol My initial plan was to try and hack away at the grid.php file and copy some of the code over to the list.php file. But i get the feeling it won’t be quite that simple, right??

Well, give it a go and see how you get on 🙂

I suspect it won’t be quite as simple as that but it shouldn’t be massively more complex, either. I don’t want to offer up a one size fits all solution though as I don’t know exactly what you have in mind nor do I know what theme you are using, or various other factors.

But if you can flesh out your idea and let me or another team member know how you’re getting on and what you’re having trouble with we might be able to offer a prod in the right direction.

Okay… I’ll jump in with both feet and let you know how it goes. I’m doing multiple modifications simultaneously (not a good idea but that’s how my mind works) so I will have other unrelated questions between now and then, I’m sure.
