MemberThanks everyone for checking in and reporting this issue. Development of 3.0 – the next major release – is reaching a watershed point and so we’re expecting to see that released sometime soon. The good news, in relation to this issue, is that the QA team don’t see this same problem with that version.
In the meantime a course of action I would anyway recommend (whether you were experiencing this or not) is to turn the display of errors off, especially if it is a production or “live” website. There are lots of good resources out there to guide you through this but ultimately if you run into any difficulties I’d recommend contacting your web host, as they will be able to guide you around any restrictions in force within each hosting environment.
With that said, please check out these resources, in many cases you will hopefully not need further assistance:

MemberHi Anne – sorry for the further delay. I know the devs were all tied up yesterday but I’ve left a further message and hopefully we can progress this a little more shortly.
Barry
MemberHi Dusan, you mean the meta fields used by The Events Calendar? I don’t think we have a consolidated list, but it’s fairly easy to pin down if you take a look inside the database or at the source code.
What are you trying to do?

MemberHi Max/Jason,
We’ve had another person reporting what sounds like the same problem in a different thread and I’ve invited them to join this thread and leave their thoughts here.
Since from what everyone is saying it sounds like numerous sites running The Events Calendar are affected I’ve logged this issue for further investigation and will report back.
In the meantime, if anyone else experiences the same problem and ideally if they can run through the recommended troubleshooting steps that would be excellent.
Last but not least, please remember that a best practice for production websites is to turn the display of errors off.

MemberHi Duncan, we’re definitely interested in that as there seems to be quite a few of these cases being reported. Because the original problem is now resolved however I’m going to close this thread, but if at all possible please do take the time to add your comments to this thread where what sounds like the same problem has also been described:
And if you could also run through the same troubleshooting steps and see if that impacts on this particular problem that would be massively appreciated.
Thanks!

MemberHi Alan, just checking in to see if you need further help/are all sorted here?
Barry
MemberHi Chip, it’s been a while and I just wanted to check if you needed any further help here?
Barry
MemberHi Jason, I’m not sure in honesty. Have you posed this question to Microsoft’s support team? I’ll ask around the team but I’m not sure if many of us use Outlook.
Barry
MemberHi Pramod. In the first instance can you try running through our normal troubleshooting steps?
- Ensure that your Modern Tribe plugins are up-to-date and in-synch – for instance if you are using The Events Calendar 2.0.10 you must also be using Events Calendar PRO 2.0.10
- Deactivate all other plugins
- Change your theme: select a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Eleven or Twenty Twelve
- Now test to see if the problem has been resolved
- If it has, reactivate everything one-by-one until the problem returns (it may not) and take note of whichever component (your theme/a plugin) seems to cause the problem
Thanks!
Barry
MemberThanks for the tip Trevor.
Unfortunately this forum doesn’t handle code very well – there are no bbcode style codes for instance – so the best idea is to use a service like Pastebin or Gist and link back from here.
Barry
MemberWoops, missed a few words there. But basically you could replace this first line with the second, or some other adaptation.
Barry
MemberHi Hank.
If Events > Settings > Template > Default Template is set to Default Events Template then you would override ecp-page-template.php (see this tutorial on template overrides if you haven’t already done so!) and put your replacement text in there.
For instance, you might find this line:
<h2 class="tribe-events-cal-title"><?php tribe_events_title(); ?></h2><h2 class="tribe-events-cal-title"> My Custom Title </h2>Does that help here?

MemberCheers Sababa. I’ll leave your posts in the thread unless/until another team member can remove them – there’s a bug with the forum software that doesn’t always allow for easy removal of posts in a thread.
Barry
MemberI’m just chasing this up with the assigned developer – sorry for the delays all – it’s a busy time especially following the new year but we do strive to be a little faster than this when possible.
It may be that this is a bug which will need to wait until the next maintenance release before it can be fixed, however I will confirm this and let you know.
Thanks for your patience!
Barry
MemberHi Brad – currently there are no official tools to help with this, I’m afraid. Possibly you could make use of third party migration plugins, though.
