Having issues with importing and keep getting this error:
Either the event with ID 1xxxxxxxxxxxx does not exist, is marked as private on Facebook or we couldn’t reach the Facebook API
Could the recent change to https by Facebook be preventing the plugin from doing what it’s supposed to? I’ve tried to troubleshoot this for 2 days on my own and coming up empty.
Thanks,

Where are you trying to import from a Facebook Page or Organization or a Group or personal profile? Can you paste the actual ID here so I can try it out on my end?
Thanks,

Here’s the Page https://www.facebook.com/kryptobar
and here’s the event I’ve been trying to import https://www.facebook.com/events/111331192361981/November 29, 2012 at 1:52 pm #28718JonahParticipantHi Chip,
There can be issues importing events that have any restrictions for viewing such as age limits like a 21+ show. Have you tried taking this off the event to see if that makes any difference?

Ok, I tried creating an all ages event without any luck. It’s still trowing the same error up. We never had any issues importing 21+ events before.December 3, 2012 at 4:55 pm #28873JonahParticipantHi Chip,
Can you provide the ID of the other event you tried importing?
I’m also going to have a developer take a look at this as I’m not sure what else to do.
Thanks and stay tuned.

December 13, 2012 at 9:30 am #29395JonahParticipantHi Chip,
I’m not sure about Simple Facebook Connect but you may need to create a Facebook App ID to get things working with our plugin. We have a tutorial for that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-create-a-facebook-app-id/
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
