KeymasterHello FMD,
Thanks for reaching out with your issue. I’m really sorry you are having issues with importing events from Facebook with Event Aggregator.
I would like to investigate this deeper. For this reason could you share with me the following 2 things:
- A screenshot of your Event Aggregator System Status, which is at the bottom of the Events > Help page and looks like this: https://cloudup.com/iRtpggp6RYk
- A link to the Facebook page / event that you are trying to import.
Thanks and cheers,

KeymasterHeya Mandy,
For changing the heading, this article should be helpful:

KeymasterHey Erikk, thanks for reporting that back.
Just to get total clearness on this:
For scheduled imports sometimes it imports the event cover and adds it as the featured image. And sometimes it doesn’t. Is that right?
Is there a difference in the events that you see? Something that you think could cause this?
Is this also the case with events that haven’t been imported previously, and also for events that are being updated?
Thanks for your patience with this and for your valuable input!
Cheers,

KeymasterHi Jack,
Thanks for checking it and giving feedback.
At the moment my hands are quite full. I’ll try to look into that later this week, but cannot really promise anything.
Just to get a clear view on what you would like to achieve.
- You have attendee meta fields for the thickets
- The attendee meta fields are the same for each
- It would be great to have only one set (I’m not sure this is possible)
- All meta fields are open on start
- Meta fields disappear after choosing a ticket
- There’s no way of opening the meta fields without page reload
Basically the meta field appearance should be fixed.
Is this correct?

KeymasterHello stonewallcolumbus,
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums! And thanks for reaching out with your question.
We have introduced Event Aggregator a bit earlier this year and in the long run it is going to replace iCal importer. We believe it is a much more robust solution with more options that iCal importer. It offers the same features and more.
If you would like you can still use iCal importer if you want to, and we are still providing support for it for an interim period. In the long run though it will definitely make sense to switch over to Event Aggregator.
Event Aggregator is not a separate plugin, you will not find it in your downloads. It is baked into The Events Calendar plugin and you can find it under Events > Import.
To unlock the full functionality of Event Aggregator you will need to enter your license key under Events > Settings > Licenses.
And since you are a proud owner of iCal importer š you have been granted a free Event Aggregator license for the same time period, which you can find in your account under License Keys.
I hope this helps and clarifies. Let me know if you have any questions.
If you encounter any issues, I kindly ask you to open a new thread so we can keep things clean. Thanks!
Cheers,

KeymasterHi Leeron,
I checked the bugticket for the issue. It is on highest priority and already has a developer assigned to it. It is targeted to come in the next maintenance release, which will be still before Christmas, if all goes according to plan.
I understand how frustrating an unsolved issue can be. Please hang in there, we are working on it!
Thanks for your patience!

KeymasterHello mtnhops,
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums! I’m really sorry about this ‘bumpdown’ issue you are having.
Unfortunately this is a bug we have recently discovered. Good news is, that a fix is already being developed and should be released before Christmas, if all goes well.
Meanwhile a temporary workaround that might help is the plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/ssl-insecure-content-fixer/
One other solution is downgrading to 4.3.2
Again, I’m really sorry about this. Thanks for hanging in there.

KeymasterHello again,
Yes, it is a bug. The devteam is already working on a fix, which should come soon.
The workaround is still valid. You can get 4.3.3 from your account or from the .org repo.
Please hang in there until the fix arrives.
Thanks for your understanding!

Thank you for reaching out to us and posting your issue in the forums.
I’m really sorry about this issue you are having with Event Aggregator importing from Facebook. This must be really frustrating. Let me help you with this.
I have come across similar issues so it is not an isolated case. Our developers are already working on an fix for an issue very similar to this.
To get closer to the source of the issue, I would like you ask you to share with me the following 2 things:
- A link or links to the Facebook pages from where you are trying to import
- A screenshot of you Event Aggregator System Status, which you can find at the bottom of the Events > Help screen and looks something like this: https://cloudup.com/iRtpggp6RYk
Looking forward to helping you with this.

KeymasterHello Douglas,
Thanks for going Pro dude! Iām really sorry about these issues with the recurring events.
One of those I could already recreate on my local install, so we might be facing a bug here. I ask for a bit of patience until I investigate the other issues as well. Please hang in there.
Meanwhile a workaround can be downgrading to 4.3.3.
Thanks for your patience!
