KeymasterHey Matt,
Thanks for spinning up a staging site. I did some tests as well, and single event sites are loading very slow indeed. The issue seems to be receiving the first response from the server, which can be caused be several things.
How were these current events added to the calendar? Were they imported or added manually? If you add a new event manually, does that also load slow?
Does this happen to recurring events only or any kind of event?
Who is your hosting provider and what kind of package do you have?
While you get me these answers I will try to pull somebody in to take a look at this as well.
Cheers,

KeymasterHi stonewallcolumbus,
I am glad to see you were able to solve the issue. And I’m happy to see you are doing everything on a staging server before. Not too many people do that.
Since it is marked resolved I am going to go ahead and close this ticket. If you have a similar issue or another in the future, please do not hesitate to create a new ticket. We’ll be happy to help.
Cheers,

Hmmm… it really sounds like the filter bar is working as expected. So you would need a customization for that, I guess.
Logically, if we would exclude the rsvp tickets to be taken into consideration by the filter bar, that would solve the problem. Is that right? That could be a way to go.
Does that help?

KeymasterHello Happy π
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums! I’m really sorry about the issues you are experiencing when importing. Let me try to help you with that.
the google map is not appearing on the event
We have a similar issue logged but to make sure I would like you to check the following:
Open the event you imported for editing. Are the boxes under Location section “Show Google Map” and “Show Google Maps Link” checked.
As for the duplicate venue issue I will need a bit more information.
- Please share with me your system information
- Please share with me a URL that is causing the issue when importing
- Would be great to have a screenshot of the event setup in google calendar that is not being imported correctly with the venue name
Thanks and looking forward to solving this with you!

KeymasterHi Matthew,
Thanks for using our plugins and for reaching out to us!
I’m sorry you are having this issue with the permalinks.
It would be great if you could run a test for conflicting plugins. This will enable us to lock out any plugins that might cause a compatibility issue.
Let me know the result and we’ll go further from there.

KeymasterHey Eric,
That sounds like a great suggestion. I will run this by the dev team and see if they like it.
Thanks for this, any feedback from our users is much appreciated!

KeymasterHello Brenda,
I responded to your other ticket already. The slowness can be caused by the issue that hinders the page from fully loading. I’d say let’s try to fix that first and then we can get back to this issue if needed.
I’ll set this thread as a pending fix until then.
Cheers,

KeymasterHello Brenda,
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!
I’m sorry about this issue you are experiencing. Let’s try to find the source of this.
I checked your site and found an error message in the code:
<b>Fatal error</b>: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in <b>/home/content/a2pnexwpnas04_data01/19/3620619/html/wp-includes/functions.php</b> on line <b>106</b><br />I would recommend increasing the execution time on the server to a higher value. You should be able to do that on the admin panel of your hosting provider, or your provider can help you with that.
It could also be that there is some code in the description of that event (2nd event on Feb. 8.) which makes the whole thing stop. For me it bailed also in Chrome.
I also see that you have quite a number of events in the calendar. I would recommend these articles for reading:
- Caching Basics
- Caching Month View Transients
- The Events Calendar Performance Considerations
- Some of our favorite plugins for developers
Let me know what you find and I’ll be happy to help you further.

KeymasterHi yorkmix,
Thanks for reaching out with your question.
As far as I know, the shortcodes use the same templates as the normal calendar views. Modifying those should modify the looks of the calendar printed out with shortcodes.
Check and let me know if that works for you.

KeymasterAlso, could you send me a version of that plugin that you are using? I want to make sure I test the same thing.
Thanks!
