KeymasterHi William,
Hmmm… the timeout seems to be the issue then. If you have a lot of recurring events, than indeed it can take some time until the cron goes through all of them and generates the new events. It also depends on the speed of the server and the database.
What would help here is increasing the max_execution_time on the server to a higher value. I would go with 120 and check if it works. If not, then still higher.
Check if that can be done and if it helps and let me know.

KeymasterHi Tom,
No worries about not being a coder. We all started like that. π
On the ‘Tickets” change:
The screenshot I sent you is from the functions.php file of the Avada child theme. The first 2 blocks are automatically included I believe, it comes with the child theme.
And this is the part handling the text change:
https://gist.github.com/theeventscalendar/734adb9e94f11b940e5f
(If you already have something in your functions.php file, then you don’t need the opening “<?php” tag, but you might have figured that already.
The Say What plugin is supposed to do the same with a user interface.
Please note that the strings are case sensitive, so “tickets” is different from “Tickets”.
What can also be the case that the recent version of Avada did some changes, which sabotages this. I’m trying to check that for you.
To remove the export button:
This snippet will help you in that. As usual paste it in your functions.php file without the opening “<?php” tag:

Try these and let me know if you need further assistance.

KeymasterHi Uwe,
Bin froh zu hΓΆren dass du es geschafft hast! Gratuliere!!!
That is also a great approach to use when you don’t have a software on hand that can do this automatically. If you don’t have Excel, you might want to try Google Spreadsheets, I believe that should also be capable of doing a CSV export. Maybe also the free online version of Excel.
Since this is marked resolved I am going to close this ticket, but if you need anything else related to this topic or another please create a new ticket and we’ll be happy to help.

KeymasterHi Clement,
I’m glad I could help!
I understand your slight disappointment regarding the translations. As much as we would like to, at the moment we don’t have the capacity and the language knowledge to maintain the translations for (currently) 40+ languages for 8 plugins, so we have to rely on the community for this.
We are really proud of and thankful to the German community who keep the translations always up to date and 100% complete. We would love to see this sort of dedication from other language communities as well. π
French is also quite on the top of the list having 70% translated.
Since this is marked resolved I am going to close this ticket, but if you need anything else related to this topic or another please create a new ticket and we’ll be happy to help.

KeymasterSalut Thomas,
Thanks for going Pro and welcome to the forums!
I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue. I have tested this on my local installation and I could reproduce this. It looks like this is a bug in our plugin.
Unfortunately I don’t have a quick solution to this issue.
I have created an internal bugticket of this so our developers can take a look at it.
Since it’s very fresh I cannot give you any specific date when this is going to be fixed. It needs to go through scoping, a fix needs to be developed, then code review, 2-3 rounds of testing and only after that can it be released.
I am going to set the status of this ticket to “pending fix” and we will update it once the fix is released. If you have any new questions or issues please create a new ticket and we’ll be happy to help out.
Thanks and cheers,

KeymasterSalut Jordane,
Thanks for going Pro and welcome to the forums!
To be able to give you better support could you please share your system information with me?
And to clarify the question: are you using our Filter Bar plugin or that is the built in ‘Tribe bar’ that comes with The Events Calendar?
I would also like to ask you to go through our conflict testing guide and see if that changes anything.
Looking forward to hearing the results!

KeymasterHello Tom,
Thanks for reaching out!
I just tested that snippet with an Avada child theme and it did its job.
Though I doubt this would be the issue, I see your ET+ plugin is an older version. It’s recommended that you update that to the latest.
The snippet that was provided to you by Patricia needs to be copied into the functions.php file of the Avada child theme. I did it like this.
If that doesn’t work for you than you can try the Say What plugin, which can be used for the same purpose without any coding.
Once you installed and activated it go to Tools > Text changes in your WP dashboard.
Then choose ‘Add new’ and fill out the form like this. Save and check if that did the trick. (I tested this as well, it worked.)
Looking forward to hearing the results. π

KeymasterHello accela,
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!
I’m sorry, I’m not sure I fully understand your question.
When a user submits an rsvp, then the following is recorded in the database:
- in wp_posts an entry is created with post_type=”tribe_rsvp_attendees” with the full name as the post_title
- in wp_postmetathe following data, which is linked to the post_id of the above created entry
- ID of the RSVP ticket
- ID of the event
- the RSVP response (going | not going)
- security code
- order number
- full name
- email address where the response is sent
- unique ID of the “ticket”
- other ticket meta (additional meta fields)
- the logged in user ID
- whether the ticket has been emailed to the user
I hope this gives you some idea of what’s happening.
Let me know if there’s anything else you need help with.
Cheers,

KeymasterSalut Clement,
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!
Thanks for reaching out with that! The translations are done by our community. I have checked and the translations for these string have not yet been submitted in French.
You can translate these yourself with the help of PoEdit or the Loco Translate pluign.
You can find the strings in this file:
wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar-community-events\lang\tribe-events-community-fr_FR.po
Once the translations are done I would recommend you to copy the tribe-events-community-fr_FR.po and .mo files to the following folder:
wp-content\languages\plugins
This way the translations will not get lost with a plugin update.
Also we’d be happy and grateful if you would add the translations to the repository so other French speaking users can benefit from it. This article contains more details on this and should help you get started.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Cheers,

KeymasterHello Chris,
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!
A user was trying to achive something similar and I believe he achieved it with a snippet. Here is that thread, might help you get started.
Or this plugin might be helpful as well:

AndrasSeptember 15, 2017 at 8:40 am in reply to: How to Create Recurring Events with Different Details Each Week? #1349720Andras
KeymasterHello Bodie,
Thanks for going Pro and welcome to the forums!
That’s a great question! I’m happy to help you with that.
It is possible to achieve what you want with some tinkering, and with the result that the event series will stop being an event series in its entirety.
Once a recurring event is set up you can break it apart. You can either break out one event from the series (“Edit Single”) or you can break the series in two (“Edit Upcoming”). (screenshot) You can repeat these steps as many times as you like.
This is how I would approach it:
1. Create the full series with the info that is common to all. This will set you up with the basics, like dates, timing, and location. You can possibly include some description as well, if there is a part that’s the same or almost the same for all.
2.Β Break out the last event (or last batch of events) from the series and add its data. This will remove it from the recurring series already and will be handled as a single event. (If it is a batch of events, then it will be a separate recurring event, now detached from the original.)
3. Repeat step 2 moving forward from the back.
At the end you will end up with 10 single events (or 10 recurring events if the same Dinner Menu and Bible Study text repeats on several days). Note that, if the timing will change after this, then you will need to edit all of the events separately.
While this will result in single events at the end, it does help setting it up.
Let me know if this helps.

KeymasterI just tested this and it worked on my test site.

KeymasterHi,
“Confirm RSVP” does not have a context. Might be the string is case sensitive and what I pasted here is exactly how it is in the code, event-tickets/src/view/tickets/rsvp.php, line 197
<?php esc_html_e( 'Confirm RSVP', 'event-tickets' );?>“RSVP Now!” is with a context, it is the middle string in event-tickets\src\template-tags\tickets.php, line 230:
$button_label = esc_html_x( 'RSVP Now!', 'list view rsvp now ticket button', 'event-tickets' );Hope this helps, let me know.
