ParticipantWe are using Events Calendar Pro on our church website. We have a 10-week series where the date, time and location are the same for all 10 weeks, but the Dinner Menu and the Bible Study text are different each week.
How can I best set up a recurring event that accommodates both recurring similar information, as well as a way to put in data that is only relevant on one, and only one event? I have added the custom fields, but they still show up the same on all the events.
How can I set up a way to input the Dinner Menu and Bible Study text separately from the recurring date, time and location info that doesn’t change?

KeymasterHello Bodie,
Thanks for going Pro and welcome to the forums!
That’s a great question! I’m happy to help you with that.
It is possible to achieve what you want with some tinkering, and with the result that the event series will stop being an event series in its entirety.
Once a recurring event is set up you can break it apart. You can either break out one event from the series (“Edit Single”) or you can break the series in two (“Edit Upcoming”). (screenshot) You can repeat these steps as many times as you like.
This is how I would approach it:
1. Create the full series with the info that is common to all. This will set you up with the basics, like dates, timing, and location. You can possibly include some description as well, if there is a part that’s the same or almost the same for all.
2. Break out the last event (or last batch of events) from the series and add its data. This will remove it from the recurring series already and will be handled as a single event. (If it is a batch of events, then it will be a separate recurring event, now detached from the original.)
3. Repeat step 2 moving forward from the back.
At the end you will end up with 10 single events (or 10 recurring events if the same Dinner Menu and Bible Study text repeats on several days). Note that, if the timing will change after this, then you will need to edit all of the events separately.
While this will result in single events at the end, it does help setting it up.
Let me know if this helps.
