KeymasterI’m sorry to keep you waiting for that long.
We usually publish a maintenance release every two weeks with a whole bunch of fixes.
Once a fix is developed it goes through 2-3 rounds of rigorous testing to make sure that 1) it works and 2) we don’t introduce new bugs.
Another piece of good news is that the fix has been developed and passed already the first round of tests. So there is a super high chance it will come with the next MR. Thanks for your continued patience!

KeymasterHi Gordon,
Thanks for going through all those steps. I’m happy to hear that on the test site all works fine.
That eliminates a lot.
I see that you have some MultiSite plugins as well. Do you have those installed too?
I recently had a case where the Multisite Domain Mapping plugin was causing some issues. I directed the user to this site to as an alternative solution and that fixed it.
One more possibility is having some customizations in your theme’s functions.php file on your live site. Did you take those into consideration as well?
Check those and let me know.

KeymasterDan, thanks for getting back to me on that.
Great news! I’m happy to hear it works now. Let’s wait then a couple of days and see if it’s stable. Let me know if anything changes and I can help you out.

KeymasterHi Don,
I understand your disappointment.
Technically it is not possible to push events to Google Calendar. Just like you cannot push events to a WordPress based Events Calendar.
You can only do pull, so Google Calendar has to pull in the data from The Events Calendar. That is the process what I outlined above.
I checked your site and I see it is not accessible for the public yet. If you are trying to pull data from that site, then likely Google Calendar is also not allowed to see it, that is why you are getting that message.
If you’d like, you can test the above process withe the URL of my test site.

Check and let me know.

KeymasterHi Brandon,
I’m trying to import those 2 feeds, but at the moment I’m having issues with getting a preview. I’ll keep trying.
The attachment got lost on the way. Unfortunately attachments sent via email get discarded. Can you please log and upload the file directly in the forums, or can you share it via some cloud service? Thanks.
However missing events.
Are these events far in the future? We have introduced a new limit option for imports which you can find under Events > Settings > Imports tab. Check if that’s the cause.
Also, last week we have published a maintenance release of The Events Calendar that contains further fixes for Event Aggregator. Would be great if you could update and give it a check.

KeymasterGreat find Marci! Stoked to hear that solved it. Congrats on that!
Since this is marked resolved I am going to close this ticket, but if you need anything else related to this topic or another please create a new ticket and we’ll be happy to help.

KeymasterMatthew,
I have another user with a slightly different issue, but gave me an idea.
The user had a line with
date_default_timezone_set()in the functions.php file of the theme.Try to check if you have something similar in yours. Also you can check your wp-config.php file if there is any timezone declaration there which might influence this.
And you can also try deactivating all plugins except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro and switch to a default theme like twentyseventeen and create a recurring event like that. Switching everything off will eliminate any influence that might come from the theme or other plugins.
Recommended WP Timezone setting is a city-based one, as that follows the DST change automatically. UTC time is always the same, doesn’t change with summer time. I.e. New York is in the UTC-5 timezone, however when DST kicks in for the summer, then the difference to UTC will only be 4 hours. (I know, this is a bit confusing. 🙂 )

KeymasterHi Matthew,
I tried all combinations of timezone setting on my local install and couldn’t recreate the issue.
What you can still try is set the recurrence not at the ‘same time’ but set it to ‘different time’ and enter the same hours. With this you might fool the system.
Meanwhile I will try to check further on this DST issue.
Let me know if that works out or not.

KeymasterHi Kernel,
A developer jumped on it almost right away. The fix still needs to go through some testing, but if all goes according to plan the fix will come out with the next maintenance release in 2-3 weeks max. Just hang in there. 🙂

KeymasterIs there an easy way to bulk delete the ignored posts?
I’m sorry, I totally forgot about this one. 🙂
I guess you could use a plugin like Bulk Delete for this, if the regular method (backend, list the ignored events, select all, delete) is not suitable.
Would that do the trick?

KeymasterHey Adam,
I’m not really sure what you would like me to check in there. And I’m not a good coder so my advice probably wouldn’t be the best. 🙂
We’re about to try selling some merchandise but don’t want to charge fees for it (only fees for tickets).
Well, the Ticket Fee setting in Community Tickets only affects the ticket products, nothing else. So you’re safe there.
If you want to give away merchandise for free, then you can simply set it up as a product with the price set to zero.
If you are using a plugin to add extra fees to tickets, I’m quite sure there are plugins there which would let you determine a product category to apply the fees to.
Does this help?

KeymasterHello Kernel,
Thanks for using our plugins and for reaching out!
I tested this and it does look like we have a bug in our plugin. I already filed a report on this and flagged it to the team with priority. Since this is fresh I cannot yet say when this is going to be fixed. I should be able to give you an update early next week.
I am going to set the status of this ticket to “pending fix” and we will update it once the fix is released.
Thanks again and cheers,
AndrasAndras
