    Hi there, I am wondering how I can charge “per ticket” rather than “per event.”

    Hi Adam,

    Thanks for reaching out with your question!

    With our Community Tickets you can only charge a fee per ticket and not per event.

    You can find the setting for this under Events > Settings > Community tab and it looks like this.

    Thanks for your help.
    I only seem to be able to charge per event with the plugin. You will see extra column in cart totals because of custom coding in my functions.php – hoping to remove this and just use your plugin. The custom coding is the correct fee, however community tickets (total at bottom) seems to be charging $1 plus 5% for 2 tickets (should be $2 plus 5% for two tickets)

    Okay, I see now where you are coming from.

    The discrepancy comes from the following, which you can also see on the settings screenshot:

    • The percentage fee is calculated per ticket
    • The flat fee is calculated per event -> this part is not good for you

    At the moment there is no option to change the flat fee from ‘per event’ to ‘per ticket’.

    Please give me some time, so I can look around if there is anything we can quickly do about this.

    Hey Adam,

    I’m not really sure what you would like me to check in there. And I’m not a good coder so my advice probably wouldn’t be the best. 🙂

    We’re about to try selling some merchandise but don’t want to charge fees for it (only fees for tickets).

    Well, the Ticket Fee setting in Community Tickets only affects the ticket products, nothing else. So you’re safe there.

    If you want to give away merchandise for free, then you can simply set it up as a product with the price set to zero.

    If you are using a plugin to add extra fees to tickets, I’m quite sure there are plugins there which would let you determine a product category to apply the fees to.
