We’re about to embark on our annual team trip! This year’s destination: Placencia, Belize.
Although we have a lot of fun on these trips, they are also an important part of our yearly goal-setting. The team trip provides an invaluable opportunity for our Tribe to get together in person for uninterrupted discussions, brainstorming sessions and workshops about all the ways in which we can do good work.
Many amazing additions to the functionality of The Events Calendar plugins or the way we support you, happened because of conversations we had on our team trip. Yes, these conversations may have taken place on a beach and yes, it is possible a pina colada or two was enjoyed, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t treat these trips as a serious opportunity to lay the foundation for some amazing work.
As you may or may not know, Modern Tribe is a 100% remote team. There is no head office. Many of our Tribe have never met in person before this annual experience. The team trip is a time for us to get to know each other and remind us why we try so hard to live well and do good work.
The connection we form through uninterrupted conversations and thoughtful interactions on the team trip inspires us to work together, operate more smoothly and ultimately, provide you with a better experience in the year to come.
Please keep in mind that while we are away (Jan 28 – Feb 3), support on our forums will be lighter than usual. We will be back to full force by Monday February 5.
