    Hey Kit!

I’m glad to know that solved the issue! Thanks for letting us know about it!

Yes, it can sometimes happen that you don’t get the automatic update notices. You can always go to the WP Dashboard > Updates and click “Check Again” to manually check on new updates.

As you marked this as “Resolved” I’ll go ahead and closed this thread, but don’t hesitate to open a new one whenever needed. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hey Marian!

Don’t worry about it, we are always here to help! 🙂

I’ve made a screen recording showing you how the distance filter works in wpshindig.com here > https://cloudup.com/cesxmjYfEJQ

You can also go to WP Shindig and try it out for yourself.

I hope that helps and don’t hesitate to ask any other questions.

    Hi Lindsey!

I’m happy to help you with that!

That title is generated by the ‘tribe_get_events_title()’ function, which you can filter by using the ‘tribe_get_events_title’ filter.

There is an article that shows how you can do exactly that here > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/altering-or-removing-titles-on-calendar-views/

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other question.

    Cheers!

    Hi Kit!

Thanks for reaching out to us and for using our plugins! 🙂

I’m sorry you are having this issue. Let me help you troubleshoot that.

I can see that you are using an older version of WordPress, so as a first step I would suggest you update to the latest version and see if that solves the issue.

When doing so, we recommend you make a full backup of your site, both files and database, just in case something happens.

Let me know how that goes and if you have any questions about it.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hi Sascha!

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I’m sorry you are having this issue 🙁 Let me try and help you out with this.

When you say it doesn’t work, does it mean you can’t make any shortcode work, or you can’t make it show what you want? What is the shortcode you are currently trying to use? Let me know about this.

As an example, if you want to show a list of the next 4 upcoming events you could use the following shorcode:

    [tribe_events_list limit="4"]

You can find all the available shortcodes here https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/

You can also embed calendar views with the [tribe_events] shortcode. To learn more about this > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/

Let me know how that goes and if you have any other questions.

    Best,
    Victor

    Hi Christopher!

Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about it because that’s how the ICS format is built, which is only having one field that can be fetched as venue, so Event Aggregator assigns it to the venue name.

Perhaps you are thinking to accomplish this in a way that I’m not aware of, so feel free to share that idea with us and we may be able to come up with something to make that happen.

Let us know about it 🙂

    Hey Joshua!

I’m glad you could work that out! Thanks for letting us know and for sharing the code so others can make use of it!

I’ll go ahead and close this thread but please feel free to open a new one if any other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Good luck with your project!

    Hi David!

Thanks for coming back with your latest system info.

It seems you could narrow the problem down to a theme conflict. I tried replicating the issue myself with Avada v.5.1.6 with your same settings and could not do so.

Having a closer look, it seems to be an issue with the HTML of one of the templates. Have you made any changes in the HTML of the Avada templates? Are you performing any kind of template customization in your functions.php file? Let me know about this.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hi Joern!

Thanks for coming back and explaining that.

Unfortunately, there is no built in way or even shortcode to display the events like that. But I’m mostly sure you can achieve something like that by either customizing one of the available template files or even creating one with some custom coding.

Here is a great article that will get you started on how to do that > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll be happy to help 🙂

    Hi Bonni!

I’m sorry about that error. That could be an issue with the server configuration related to folder write permission.

Could you please try making a manual update by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/manual-updates/? You should try Method 1: Replacing the plugin files via FTP.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hi Bonni!

I’m sorry about my last reply. I posted right before you wrote back.

Thanks for coming back with the screenshots for the console errors.

I can see that it is failing to load several of the plugins scripts that make up the functionality of our plugins. This could be due to a failed or corrupted installation, so I would suggest you delete and reinstall our plugins and see if that changes anything. You should also make sure you install the latest versions of our plugins.

Let me know how that works.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hi there!

I’m not sure what you mean by that. We are posting this in our forums. Perhaps you are receiving emails about this because you are subscribed to do so.

Let us know how we can help you further.

    Best,
    Victor
