KeymasterSimon,
There is indeed a ticket open for a similar issue. The good news is that means the developers are aware of the issue and working on a fix. The bad news is that I can’t provide a timeframe for when the fix will be released.
If you would like to be notified when this is fixed, could you please create a new support ticket for just that issue? Since that is a separate issue than the one that we solved here, it will let them know how many people have the issue and make it easier to notify you.
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterJoseph,
I apologize for the misunderstanding. I have tried it again, and this time I received an email from [email protected].
There is one more place that it may be picking that information up from. Can you navigate to Events > Settings > “Community” tab, and try adding the correct email in the “Alerts” section?
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterPeter,
It turns out that there is not yet support for translating the main “events” slug. Right now only single events will have the “event” slug translated.
If you create an event, and navigate to the single event page, the url should contain your translation.
This is something that is being worked on, but unfortunately I cannot provide a timeline for when it will be added.
Thanks for your patience, and please let us know if you have any other questions or issues in the future.

KeymasterHi Regis!
I’m sorry you’re having issues. I will try to help you figure it out.
Testing with the default Twenty Seventeen theme and all non Events Calendar plugins is a great first step in tracking down any display problems you may be having. Please give that a shot and see if it fixes/changes the issue. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Once you have done that, if the issue still persists, can you provide me a screenshot of what is happening, and a description of the expected behavior? Your site appears only as a “coming soon” page to me at the moment. If there is a way to temporarily disable that feature, or if you can provide me a link that is not hidden, I can have a better idea about what you are experiencing.
Thanks,
SkySky

KeymasterDave,
Great! Glad we figured out the issue. This specific plugin conflict has been known for awhile, and it was determined that it was an issue on the other plugin’s end. I would create a ticket on the WordPress support forums and see if they have a fix in the works. https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/custom-post-type-permalinks
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterOle,
I have more understanding of the issue now. The code I provided will increase the number of HTML elements allowed in the manual excerpt field. However, excerpts that are generated by WordPress from the content get run through “wp_trim_words” which strips out all of the tags. Right now, we do not have a workaround for this. In order to allow HTML in your excerpts, you will have to manually create them in each event. This will ignore the auto generated ‘excerpt_size’ filter however, so you will need to enter them exactly the length you want them to display.
You can read more information about this issue here: https://theeventscalendar.com/the-trouble-with-excerpts/
I’m not sure where you found the original snippet which attempted to work around the issue, but as it is not an official function or snippet, we unfortunately cannot provide support for it.
I’m sorry I didn’t have a better solution to offer up. Please let us know if you have any other issues in the future.
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterPeter,
Thank you very much for verifying that you have tried all of those steps. The video really helps.
I am going to look more in depth to see what the cause of this may be. In the meantime, can you try temporarily changing the permalink structure to “post name” (the one just above your custom structure) just to see if that makes any difference?
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterJoseph,
Also, I forgot to mention that once you change that, you will need to confirm the change before it will become active. It should send you a confirmation email once you save the change.
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterHello Joseph!
I will try to help you get this sorted.
The RSVPs should be using the email address that is configured in the WordPress settings. In the WordPress admin, navigate to Settings > General and look for the “Email Address” field. Is this where you are making the changes?
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterHi Dave!
Sorry that you’re having this issue. Have you tried temporarily disabling all other plugins to see if that fixes the issue? This exact problem has been known to occur when using certain plugins that alter the site’s permalinks.
Check out our guide to testing for conflicts for a more complete description of the process to narrow down the cause of a conflict.
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterHi Daniel!
The Events Calendar Pro will indeed allow you to create multiple calendars on your site! Using the [tribe_events] shortcode, you can generate a new calendar anywhere on your site. You can narrow down which events show in a calendar by specifying one or more categories.
See our knowledgebase article on the shortcode here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/
Hope that helps!
Thanks,

KeymasterAlexander,
That depends on your theme. Unfortunately we are limited in the amount of support we can provide for customizations, particularly for the free version of the Events Calendar.
However, I will add, that creating a custom page template for your theme is pretty straightforward. All it entails is copying the template from your theme, adding the template metadata at the top, and just removing/replacing the part that is outputting the title.

Thanks, and have a good weekend.

KeymasterGavin,
It has actually been suggested before. You can chime in and cast a vote for the feature here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/32689603-you-should-add-pay-to-submit-event
Take care,
SkySky
KeymasterSimon,
Since you have reverted the site back, I am again experiencing the ajax issues that prevent the filter bar from working properly. I would need to look at the site with Twenty Seventeen theme and other plugins disabled to be able to verify if something is not working as it should.
Thanks,
