Recurring Events slug not working

When I create an single event, my slug is correctly displayed as “/event”. But if I make it a recurring event, it replaces “/event/” with “/%tribe_events_slug%” which of course brings me to a 404 error page.

Hi Dave!

Sorry that you’re having this issue. Have you tried temporarily disabling all other plugins to see if that fixes the issue? This exact problem has been known to occur when using certain plugins that alter the site’s permalinks.

Yes the problem was a conflict with the plugin Custom Post Type Permalinks. We were able to remove it because we happen to not need it for this project. But what would be the solution if we do need it for a future site?

Great! Glad we figured out the issue. This specific plugin conflict has been known for awhile, and it was determined that it was an issue on the other plugin’s end. I would create a ticket on the WordPress support forums and see if they have a fix in the works. https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/custom-post-type-permalinks
