Great to hear you got this figured out, Tony. If you need anything else down the road please let us know – going to close this thread for now since it seems like we’re all set.

Nice site Peter! I spend my time outside of Modern Tribe working on a food truck up here in the Bay Area, so such trucks as the one on your site there hold a special place in my heart 🙂 Great work and neat integration of the modified widget.

Thanks for the heads up here, Doug. Glad to hear you were able to get this resolved. Definitely do open a new thread if the issue persists and we’ll do what we can to assist. Thanks for bearing with us so far.

Thanks for the follow-up here, Angela, and my apologies that it took me a few days to get you a response. This does look to be a legitimate issue and I’ve asked our dev Paul – who runs maintenance for this plugin – to take a look directly. If we can identify an issue we’ll make sure to get a patch deployed for the first monthly maintenance release (which should be out in just a couple weeks).

Thanks for your patience so far and stay tuned for any bits of wisdom Paul may have to share on this.

This is indeed one of the only issues in the July maintenance release queue at this point, so there’s no question that it’ll be included then. Thanks for your understanding on this folks.

Hi Daniel. Thanks for the note here. I assume this is happening during the auto-import, correct? Can you confirm that it imports regardless of whether the ‘earlier’ imported version is still in draft format versus being already published?

I’m not seeing this on my end, but it’d be helpful to have the name of the Facebook account that is problematic so I could recreate your environment as closely as possible. We’ll have our first monthly maintenance release for this plugin out in just about 2 weeks, so if I can get this identified and logged on my end for the devs we should be set to have a patch deployed at that time.

Thanks for your patience so far, and for bringing this to our attention.

Hey Craig. Awesome to hear – yup, this tool will definitely be frontend-centric.

Hope that helps! Let me know what else you need.

That’s always good news 🙂 Thanks for confirming as much, Matt. Let us know if you need anything else down the road and thanks for being so supportive thus far.

Hey there Don. Thanks for reaching out here, and for your interest in Eventbrite. If I understand your goal correctly it is just to be able to set up events that require registration but not payment…so, free events (to which folks RSVP instead of buy a ticket)? If so, then this is possible: you can just set up your event as cost-free and upon publication users will not have to go through any Paypal-related payment steps to claim their ticket.

Hope that helps. If I’ve misunderstood the issue here, let me know and I’ll adjust my response accordingly.

Hey Ryan. I apologize that responding to this thread slipped through the cracks; I’m back on it now and happy to help in any capacity I can. Were you able to try the create in EB method? On my end I tried accessing those two links you provided but they are not functional. Any ideas? Has the site moved, or might you have gotten this resolved already?

Let me know and I’ll troubleshoot on my end as needed.

Peter: to add on what Joyce noted, you may also want to check whether our documentation page ( https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation ) helps you out. At the very least it should point you in the right direction…

Hey there Javier. If I understand your issue correctly…shouldn’t you be able to accomplish what you’re going for via the broader events.css file, in the ‘resources’ folder of the core (The Events Calendar) plugin?

Let me know if I’m misunderstood here and I’ll adjust my response.

Hey Mark. Thanks for the explanation here, and for sharing your link – I am indeed seeing this on my end too. While I’m not sure what could be the cause, our developer Jonah works heavily in Genesis and actually recently published a pretty hefty tutorial on how to integrate The Events Calendar with it. I’ve asked him to take a look here to see if he can help you get this resolved…as he seems well suited to do so.

Stay tuned and thanks for your patience so far.

Hey Chris. Thanks for reaching out here. There was a somewhat-officially supported Gravity Forms hack that Tim Bowen put together a while ago (http://creativeslice.com/tutorials/gravity-forms-events-calendar-submissions/) and which was modified a bit to work with 2.0. Were you ever able to give that a go?

Otherwise you may want to check out our documentation page ( https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation ) to see if any of the template tags could be of use. I will note that you could also probably have attendees sign up for events using either our Eventbrite Tickets add-on (where the event could just be ‘Free’ and they RSVP) or Community Events, which allows for frontend event submission.

Hope that helps and sorry I couldn’t offer up more. If you have further questions here let me know.

Bob: just to point out that Jonah is part of the “official” support team here so we aren’t going to do anything unprofessional or otherwise sleazy. In fact, as mentioned above, we really wouldn’t do anything beyond check out the backend of the site (to view, not modify) 🙂
