MemberHey Chris; sure thing, if you want to send an email to pro /a tri.be (ideally including a link to this thread, a link to your site and the code that was stripped out here) I can take a look and get a dev to chime in here on the thread as needed.
Thanks for your patience on this so far. We’ll do what we can to help get this sorted for you.

MemberThanks for confirming as much, Richard. Glad to hear that resolved the core issue here and that you were able to identify the line that needed commenting out.
The site is looking hot. Did that /events/past issue exist before you made this code tweak? If so, it might be a bug and I can look into it upon receiving confirmation from you. Let me know.

MemberHey Steve! Sweet looking site. You can modify the venue page in the single-venue.php file, in the ‘views’ folder within the PRO plugin. You might find our documentation page at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation helpful as you jump into modifying the template, but please let me know if you have any other questions along the way or need anything else.

MemberHey Kim: thanks for the heads up. Paul will be able to take another look here sometime tomorrow (Thursday). Thanks for your patience so far!

MemberHey Ben. Thanks for the follow-up. Just a heads up that it can take us up to 48 hours between responses on this forum here, especially this month as we’re down a support team member the next few weeks. We appreciate your patience and understanding in that regard.
I’ve still got to verify that this isn’t related to the same Headway problem we had a few months ago but will reach out to Grant directly if it isn’t, most likely sometime this evening. Thanks again for your patience on this and please let me know if you have any questions.

MemberHi David. Thanks for posting this, and for your detailed elaboration on what’s going on. I am seeing the issue there and can agree that it’s cause for concern; that looks sloppy and if we can do anything to help with integration, we will. To achieve this end I’ve asked our lead dev Paul – who built the plugin and handles all monthly maintenance release code work – to take a look and try to help you out directly. No guarantees that we’ll be able to get it 100% but we will do our best.
Stay tuned and thanks for your patience so far!

MemberHey Richard. Thanks for reaching out; yes, 2.0.8 should have shipped with this tweak…basically we added filters to the various title generators within the TribeEvents->maybeAddEventTitle method. We added a filter to the title so that users can fix the title in their functions.php file using the filter. The reason for this is that the theme’s header.php file is what determines the format for the title.
Does that help? If you’re using Genesis, have you already checked out Jonah’s Genesis-centric integration guide? It may be useful and can be found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/tutorial-integrating-the-events-calendar-w-genesis/. If you have further questions on the title tag aspect beyond the link + what I’ve provided above, let me know and I can elaborate. Cheers!

MemberAwesome to hear you got this figured out on your own, Ashley! Nice work. This will be of use to other folks down the road who aim to accomplish what you’ve done. Thanks for sharing the solution.
Looks like you’re all set here for now, but if you need anything else down the road just holler and we’ll do what we can. Thanks for your support so far 🙂

MemberHey Lauren. Thanks for the update; just sent over an email to this effect as well, but if you can send me a set of admin creds here I can take a look for you this afternoon. Thanks!

MemberNot a problem at all. Glad to hear you’re all set; love the site, too…was just checking out your Pt Reyes Walkabouts section and it’s really cool. Interestingly enough I’ve had “take a trip to Pt. Reyes” on my summer goals list since May and while I haven’t had a chance to yet…I’ll be making my way out in the weeks to come! Been a decade since I’ve visited the area and I miss spending lazy afternoons on Indian Beach.
Thanks again for the confirmation, Dan. Let us know what else you need down the road and thanks again for your support so far.
July 25, 2012 at 8:04 am in reply to: Submitted events create duplicates with a date of 1/7/1970 + bonus error #22720Rob
MemberHey Andrew. Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear you’re having issues. While I’m unable to recreate this myself it sounds like you’re having the same problem as Mike over in this thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/anonymous-users-must-log-in-permalinks-does-not-cure-it/). Can you confirm as much, and if that is indeed the case, move your discussion over to that thread so we’re tracking it all in one place? That’d help us reach a resolution in as timely a fashion as possible.
Thanks in advance!
July 25, 2012 at 8:00 am in reply to: Anonymous users must log in…permalinks does not cure it #22719Rob
MemberHey Mike, just wanted to follow-up now that I’ve done some testing on your site. To confirm I went through these steps:
1. In one browser, where I was entirely logged out, I submitted an event called “Rob’s Test Submission” (which I’ve left in Pending Review for you so you can see this).
2. In another browser, after submitting my anonymous submission, I logged in and checked out the Pending event my anonymous account had just created. The date/venue/organizer data all stayed in place: http://d.pr/i/l6lf. In addition, it doesn’t look like a duplicate was created – I’m only seeing that one event with “Rob” in the name when I search all events on the site.Am I doing something different than you are? If so, can you let me know where I messed up? Also…remember that in situations where the event itself is Pending or Draft, the submitted Venue/Organizer details will remain Pending or Draft as well (until the event with which they were created is published). Could that be related here?
Rob
MemberHey Graeme. At this point, all events do need to have a set end date/time. However, regarding the problem you’ve noted…have you used the multi-day event cutoff option on the Settings page? We added that specifically for situations like live music events where it took place late into one evening, technically the next morning, but it wasn’t appropriate to show up on both days in grid view. If you set the multiday cutoff for 3 or 4 a.m., and set the event to go until 2:30, it’ll not show up on that second day.
That help? Let me know if not and I’ll adjust my response as needed. Cheers!
