We’re building a new site and having trouble with our sidebar on the Add Event form, which is loading our default sidebar with upcoming events, but throwing a lot of JS errors:
    http://staging.baynature.org/events/community/add/
Rather than trying to fix those, we just want want to use the ecp-page-template.php instead, which is looking great here: http://staging.baynature.org/events , and here: http://staging.baynature.org/event/tennessee-valley-nursery/

Any suggestions on how to make that happen? Or to get rid of the JS errors?

Hey Dan! Thanks for reaching out, and sweet looking site. If I understand your issue correctly…Jonah addressed a similar one a month or so back in this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/template-issue-in-custom-theme/#post-20324. Does his post there point you in the right direction, or have I misunderstood the issue here? Let me know and we’ll do what we can to keep troubleshooting. Cheers!

That did it! Sorry about the dual post. Did try to search forums first, but been working round the clock and probably couldn’t string together any sensible search terms…

Not a problem at all. Glad to hear you’re all set; love the site, too…was just checking out your Pt Reyes Walkabouts section and it’s really cool. Interestingly enough I’ve had “take a trip to Pt. Reyes” on my summer goals list since May and while I haven’t had a chance to yet…I’ll be making my way out in the weeks to come! Been a decade since I’ve visited the area and I miss spending lazy afternoons on Indian Beach.

Thanks again for the confirmation, Dan. Let us know what else you need down the road and thanks again for your support so far.
