MemberFantastic! Glad to hear. I’m going to mark your last response as the answer and close this one up accordingly. Cheers Joseph.

MemberHey Keith. Thanks for reaching out, and for your post. Conference Manager is still in the works but close to wrapping up and I suspect we’ll be kicking off the beta sometime over the next week or two. While I cannot guarantee (and it seems unlikely) that it’ll be finished/complete/launched by August 20, I’d be happy to give you access to the beta early if you’re willing to give it a go/provide some feedback…and understand that it might have some quirks along the way as it’s not a 100% finished product.
Let me know. If you’re game shoot an email over to pro /a/ tri.be and we’ll see what we can work out. Cheers!

MemberHey Marc. Thanks for the follow-up here, and no worries about the delayed response. I will note that since you last visited the forum Jonah has left on sabbatical and won’t be back for another month or so.
As such I’ve asked another member of the dev team to poke their head in here and see if they can offer up any advice in light of your last note and what Jonah has provided already. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience so far.

MemberAndrew: at least some coding would be required, but perhaps some of the groundwork set forth by Tim at Creative Slice will be of use? It isn’t specifically what you’re going for and is more a broader integration between Events/GF, but it may open your eyes to some things you hadn’t thought of previously. That can be found here: http://creativeslice.com/tutorials/gravity-forms-events-calendar-submissions/.
If you start down the GF route, good luck…you can feel free to bounce any questions you may have along the way off us, but I can’t guarantee we’ll be able to provide much support on a customization of that degree.
Hope that helps and sorry I couldn’t offer up more. If you have any other questions please let me know.
Rob
MemberAwesome to hear, Mary. Thanks for the follow-up and for confirming as much. On the Eventbrite API side…we will be continuing to monitor that and update our plugin based on what their API will allow, so if you see anything else that you’re curious about but aren’t seeing in the plugin…let me know. Will try to update you on whether it’s on the docket, or if it could be down the road.
Glad to hear you’re finding the Eventbrite add-on valuable even with this limitation. If you need anything else from us as you continue to use it…just holler.
Rob
MemberHey Frank. Thanks for the post here; Jonah is out on sabbatical the next month or so, but I’m happy to field this to the appropriate party to make sure we get you a response here.
As such I’ve asked another member of our dev team to take a look here and see if they can advise you on forcing a search of the root. No guarantees but we’ll see what we can offer up. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience so far.

MemberHey Phil. Thanks for reaching out; are you saying you want it to be totally inaccessible (ie if a user went to try and access that category via direct URL, they’d specifically be given a 404 or error message)? Or are you just looking to hide the categories from appearing on the frontend for certain users.
My first suggestion would be to see if a third-party role manager plugin (I know a number of our users rely on them) could do the trick; but let me know if I misunderstood what you’re going for here and I can adjust my response as needed. Cheers!
Rob
MemberNo problem, Matt. Just a heads up that we’re a bit backlogged as 2/3 of the support staff is out this week…but I should have a response for you no later than tomorrow. Apologies for the delay thus far.
Rob
MemberHey Mary. Thanks for the follow-up here; Joyce is out until tomorrow so I wanted to do what I could to help get this resolved for you. Right off the bat: is the discussion going on in this thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/conflict-with-theme/) of value to you? If I understand the issue correctly it should point you in the right direction, but let me know if I’m wrong there and I’ll adjust my response as needed.
Rob
MemberHey Michael. I’m not sure how doable this is but have asked a dev to take a look and see if they can point you in the right direction; just to confirm though, what do you mean by the “calendar button”? You just mean this button (http://d.pr/i/wR8W), which takes you from list to grid?
Wanted to confirm that quickly so I know how to advise the devs on what you want to do. Thanks in advance!
Rob
MemberHi Michael. Thanks for reaching out, and for the note. We appreciate your support and use of the plugin.
Have you gone into Events -> Settings and enabled the Google Map option there? Once enabled you can configure the size, etc from there and the map will appear within any event you create that has a location tied to it.
Hope that helps. Let me know if not, or if I misunderstood your request here, and I’ll get you what you need.
Rob
MemberHey Joseph. Gotcha; thanks for confirming. Can we keep the discussion going over in that thread, so as not to get the “streams crossed” and keep everything organized? Let me know if you disagree…otherwise I’ll close this thread out and we can move the chat there.
Rob
Member^- bingo. Does the themer’s guide that Andy provided point you in the right direction, Peter?
Rob
MemberHey Andrew. Thanks for the note; I believe Andy is correct here and that this is something in the core (which we strongly advise against modifying) but let me check whether anyone on our dev team has any ideas to workaround it. No guarantees but stay tuned and we’ll do what we can.
Rob
MemberHey Matt. Thanks for the follow-up here; I can definitely see the value in this and we actually have this in our system because you’re not the first to bring it up. I think we should be able to (but no guarantees) fit it into our next maintenance release.
Have you checked whether a template override will allow for this in the interim?
