Matt
ParticipantI’m a user of Events Calendar Pro. There’s a lot to like about it, but I have a suggestion for future versions:
Right now, for multi-day events, only the first day appears in the header. Instead, we should see the entire range of dates. For example, currently, for an event that runs Sept. 7-9, the header merely shows “September 7, 2012.” This is misleading to the reader. I’d like it to read “September 7-9, 2012.”
Can we get that revision? Thanks!

MemberHey Matt. Thanks for the follow-up here; I can definitely see the value in this and we actually have this in our system because you’re not the first to bring it up. I think we should be able to (but no guarantees) fit it into our next maintenance release.
Have you checked whether a template override will allow for this in the interim?

ParticipantRob, I’m not a tech-savvy developer, and I have no idea how to do a template override that won’t result in a towering inferno. How do I undertake such an override?

MemberHey Matt: this is another one I’m not sure (as I’m not a dev myself), but can get someone more tech-savvy than I to take a look at. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience so far.

ParticipantMatt,
Happy to help with this. I’m assuming you’re talking about the date header on the Event List Page correct? If so, then first of all, you’ll need to make sure you have an ‘events’ folder in your theme directory. If you don’t, then you’ll need to perform a template override (https://theeventscalendar.com/faq/what-are-template-overrides-and-how-do-i-do-them/).Once you’ve done this, you’ll go into YOUR_THEME_DIRECTORY/events/list.php and replace the follwing code that starts at line 31: https://gist.github.com/3291286
With this: https://gist.github.com/3291292
Hope that helps! Just let me know if you have any other questions.
