MemberHey Christian. Thanks for the heads up; not sure if Paul saw your response, but I’ve asked him to take another look. Stay tuned on that end.
Regarding code: unfortunately we don’t have a good method for this yet, but are working on it. In the interim feel free to use pastie.org or a similar service.

MemberHey Colleen. Thanks for reaching out here, and my apologies for the inconvenience you’re faced with here. Just to confirm: when you say 2.8 of Events Calendar, you mean 2.0.8 of The Events Calendar…right? Those are two separate plugins so I just want to make sure we’re talking on the same page here. If so, can you also confirm that you’re running Events Calendar PRO 2.0.8? Both versions would need to be in sync if you have them installed on the site.
The licenses tab should be where you mentioned — under Events -> Settings. Here’s how I see it on a vanilla 2011 install: http://d.pr/i/xXaT. Note that PRO does have to be active for that tab to appear. Could that be your issue here?
As for the error itself: that’s an odd issue and I’m not really sure what would cause it, shy of not updating to the latest version or having the plugins out of sync. Can you send over a set of admin credentials to pro /a tri.be, with a link to this thread as reference, and I can try to take a look directly? We won’t change anything but would like to see the environment if we can to try and advise from there.
Thanks for your patience so far.
Rob
MemberHey Joseph! Thanks for the follow-up. So can I assume based on your last note that we’re all set here, or are you still having issues? Just wanted to make sure. Let me know!
Rob
MemberHi there domaintrader. Thanks for reaching out, and for your use of the plugin. What exactly are you trying to accomplish here? We don’t have documentation on deploying to a multisite, because the process isn’t any different than a regular installation. (It isn’t configured in such a way that there is a main calendar feeding down to smaller calendars; each site within the network runs its own installation).
You can do the separate color categories either by following this tutorial (https://theeventscalendar.com/coloring-your-category-events/), or using a plugin that one of our more dev-minded users put together right here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/.
That help? Let me know if you need anything else here and I’ll do what I can.

MemberHey there marmotte73. Thanks for reaching out, and apologies to hear of your inconvenience so far. It looks like this error message is being generated by the theme rather than the calendar; what is the code on line 5 in the php file referenced? Mind dropping it into a pastie.org link and sharing here?
Also, if you haven’t done so already, it’d probably be worth starting a similar thread on the DynamicPress/Gantry forum so their devs can take a look as well. Let me know about the above and we’ll do what we can.
Rob
MemberThanks for the follow-up, Philipp. You’ve done some digging it looks like 🙂
On the Sugar Modal Windows conflict: normally we cannot guarantee the plugin will work with everything else out there, but we try to resolve conflicts as best we can if our plugin is responsible for them. However we have had a few Twitter exchanges with Pippin before and I’ve reached out to him just now to see if there’s anyone on their team who’d be game to work with us. Fingers crossed, but if you’re on a specific timetable it may be worth looking for a backup just in case we can’t get this figured out in as timely a fashion as you need.
That’s interesting regarding the UJI Countdown changing the appearance of those pop-ups; it wouldn’t be the first time that had happened, and partially for that reason we’ll be reformatting how that pop-up looks in one of our next maintenance releases. If that is the only oddity you’re seeing, though, I’d say you should be fine running the two plugins together.
On the recurrence end: what you’re mentioning, of allowing events under certain criteria to be broken out of the pattern, has been requested quite a bit pretty much since we launched 2.0. We are definitely looking into advanced recurrence patterns like that for the 2.1 lifecycle as well.
Regarding the last point: that is interesting, and thanks to you we have identified a definite bug. I’ve logged this in the system so we can get it resolved in one of our upcoming monthly maintenance releases.
Hope that helps. Let me know your thoughts on the above, or if you have any other questions here. Thanks again for your support so far.
Rob
MemberHey Sean. Would using the “Add HTML Before” option in Events -> Settings accomplish this? That certainly seems the most straightforward route but let me know if I’ve misunderstood what you’re going for here.
Rob
MemberHey Jen. Thanks for posting this, and for creating the new thread. (For organizational purposes we’re closing all old threads after a period of inactivity).
This may be a dumb question, but what are you using to duplicate the events themselves? Is there another plugin or something built into WPML?
Rob
MemberHey Matt. Thanks for the note on this, and my apologies for the inconvenience you’re faced with so far. I am seeing the issue on your site there and this should be relatively easy by just doing a template override of the widget itself.
Create a new ‘events’ folder in your theme directory and copy over the events-list-load-widget-display.php file. There you can modify that copied file and change the date/time output as you see fit. The WordPress codex on date/time can give you what you need on the formatting front: http://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time.
That help? Let me know if not.
Rob
MemberHey Larry. Apologies that this one slipped through the cracks; Joyce has been out the past couple days but I’m happy to take point on this one for you.
If I understand your issue correctly, is it the same one we’ve been helping another user out with at this thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/tooltip-cutoff-issue/)? Let me know if not or if the solution Paul provided there doesn’t point you in the right direction. Cheers!
Rob
MemberHey Paul: thanks for reaching out. While we don’t have an educational discount, we do have agreements we’ve worked out with non-profits to grant them a free license. Does the university have any non-profit branches or divisions we could use for this purpose? Happy to get you hooked in if so. Let me know.
Rob
MemberIt is definitely in the works, Achim! Our first beta should be within the next few weeks. Happy to keep you on the list of interested beta participants if you wanted to be involved…still got a few slots left. Shoot me an email (pro a/ tri.be) and I’ll get you the details when were kicking off. Cheers.
Rob
MemberHi there Jonas. Thanks for the words! We appreciate the support and are glad to hear you’re enjoying the calendar.
We are definitely aware of the conflict/misbehavior when running with Yoast, and unfortunately that does carry over to the PRO plugin at this point. It’s one of our biggest issues as we realize a lot of folks are running the two together – and we want to make sure that everyone has as smooth an experience as possible. Realistically the code to fix it won’t be deployed until the 2.1 release comes sometime in the fall.
Hope that helps and sorry I couldn’t offer up more in the short-term. If that is a major concern then I would recommend waiting until we’ve announced publicly that the Yoast conflict is fixed (which we’ll do given the interest); you can feel free to check in with me via email (pro a/ tri.be) along the way for updates.

MemberHi there Mary. Thanks for reaching out, and for your purchase of the Eventbrite add-on. We appreciate your support.
Unfortunately having credit card payment options is not something available in the Eventbrite API, which means we can’t tap into it with our plugin. This will hopefully change as they modify their API down the road, but at this point you’ll have to take care of adding any credit card processing on the Eventbrite.com side once your entry has already been created.
Hope this helps and sorry I couldn’t offer up more in the short-term. If you have other questions or need anything else here please let me know.
Rob
MemberHey Tony. Thanks for the note here, and my apologies for the inconvenience you’re faced with so far. This is an odd issue…I haven’t encountered this at all in my testing with the plugin and didn’t see it when I just tested again now either.
Have you had problems with your internal firewall before? Does this same thing occur when you try on a browser outside that firewall (if you have access to one)? It sounds like there are two separate issues here, both with the same general cause – the site being unable to communicate outside itself. Does this sound right?
Let me know. If you can confirm as much, I can get our devs to take a look and get you the addresses (as that hasn’t come up before and I don’t have it handy). Thanks in advance and for your patience so far.
