The Eventbrite standard credit card payment option doesn’t show up when setting up an event for online payment. Only None, PayPal and Google Checkout are options. Unfortunately having credit card payment options is not something available in the Eventbrite API, which means we can’t tap into it with our plugin. This will hopefully change as they modify their API down the road, but at this point you’ll have to take care of adding any credit card processing on the Eventbrite.com side once your entry has already been created.

Hi Rob, Thanks for a quick response. It sounds like the credit card option is available, but not integrated. I’ll check that out on the Eventbrite side. The PayPal + Eventbrite fees cut into my profit, so looking for a way to reduce them. Anyway, the EB add-on is a workable solution for ticketing and booking my small outfit.
Awesome to hear, Mary. Thanks for the follow-up and for confirming as much. On the Eventbrite API side…we will be continuing to monitor that and update our plugin based on what their API will allow, so if you see anything else that you’re curious about but aren’t seeing in the plugin…let me know. Will try to update you on whether it’s on the docket, or if it could be down the road.
