MemberHey Vincent. You aren’t seeing those anywhere under Appearance -> Widgets? Is it possible another plugin you’ve got active is throwing those in? I haven’t received any reports of this happening. Let me know what template you’re using (under Settings –> The Events Calendar) and I can see if that makes a difference.
Rob
MemberThanks for the help, Joe.
Laura: let us know if you need anything else here.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear you got this figured out! Thanks for the words…always happy to help. Let us know if anything else comes up.

MemberHey Mike, let me see if Jonah has any suggestions. I don’t believe this is possible without quite a bit of customization but I’ll let him comment for certain.

MemberHey Adam. We’ve looked into this and were stumped from a frontend perspective. This one is going to be tough to diagnose because it sounds like an isolated issue. We’re generally unable to provide direct support on issues as specific as this, since they are generally caused by conflicts with a user’s install rather than with the plugin itself.
That being said; I want to make sure we’re doing all we can to assist you here, so I can get our developer Jonah to take another look if you can get us a set of admin credentials and written confirmation that you don’t mind us going in to take a look. If so please generate the credentials to rob at tri.be and we’ll go from there.

MemberHey Rich. Thanks for the note and sorry to hear you’re having issues. I just tested this on my end and it was working without issue; is it possible you didn’t have the checkbox selected to enable them under the settings page? This could also be a conflict with another plugin…
Rob
MemberHey Simeon. Assuming the site-in-question is still http://pshs.rimfya.com/events/. I am unable to recreate this on my local install so I’m guessing this is a conflict with the theme or another plugin. Have you tried de-activating other plugins to see if one of them is conflicting? If not that, does the issue persist when you revert back to the default 2011 theme?
A couple other suggestions that could help:
* Make sure you’re on the same release for PRO/free (Ie 2.0.2 for both, instead of 2.0.1 for one and 2.0.2 for the other)
* Resave your permalinks page
* Check whether grid view works when you set List as the default view on the settings page
* Confirm that your slug for events is /events, and that you’ve got pretty permalinks turned on (ie /%postname%/).Let me know what happens after giving that a shot and I can assist further as needed.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear, Joe. If you ever encounter that issue again, another good method to resolve would be to go and resave the Permalinks page. Keeping release numbers consistent between free & PRO is definitely key though.
Rob
MemberHey Mike: not currently (without some hackery), but given the amount of feedback we’ve had along the lines of what you reported we’re planning on working this in for 2.1. So you’ll have relief shortly!

MemberHey Steve. After talking with the team about this a bit more, we’re wondering what purpose you’d be using this more fully-populated RSS feed for…just so we can get a better feel on how to integrate something like this. Is it merely for frontend users to be able to see event details entirely in their RSS feed, or are you planning on doing more with the data? If you could give some thoughts, even in general terms, it’d be awesome.

MemberHey Scott. Thanks for the words. After talking with the team about this a bit more, we’re wondering what purpose you’d be using the RSS feed for…just so we can get a better feel on how to integrate something like this. Is it merely for frontend users to be able to see event data in an order other than when it was added, or are you planning on doing more with the RSS feed? If you could give some thoughts, even in general terms, it’d be awesome.
Rob
MemberThanks Ben. Definitely let me know if it persists.
Rob
MemberDo you have something else, anywhere on the site (not necessarily events-specific), using that permalink structure? It normally only appends them that way if a site has something else with the same name.
Rob
MemberThank YOU. Keep the suggestions coming 🙂
Rob
MemberAlright, thanks for confirming. I’ll get our dev Jonah to chime in with his feedback on this. Since it’s after business hours Friday, he’ll be getting to this first thing Monday morning (at the latest).
