Calendar view won't show, only list view, ever.

Just did a fresh install of Events Calendar Pro. I’ve gone to the settings and made sure it is set to Calendar view. But when I go to the specified URL it only shows list view. Even when clicking on Calendar view it just only shows list view ever.

Hey Simeon. Assuming the site-in-question is still http://pshs.rimfya.com/events/. I am unable to recreate this on my local install so I’m guessing this is a conflict with the theme or another plugin. Have you tried de-activating other plugins to see if one of them is conflicting? If not that, does the issue persist when you revert back to the default 2011 theme?

A couple other suggestions that could help:

* Make sure you’re on the same release for PRO/free (Ie 2.0.2 for both, instead of 2.0.1 for one and 2.0.2 for the other)
* Resave your permalinks page
* Check whether grid view works when you set List as the default view on the settings page
* Confirm that your slug for events is /events, and that you’ve got pretty permalinks turned on (ie /%postname%/).

Let me know what happens after giving that a shot and I can assist further as needed.

Thanks for the follow up.

The theme I’m using is the Roots development framework, are there known conflicts? I also have no other plugins installed.

– 2.0.2 on both
– Resaved permalinks page
– Tried making list view the default and it still just shows list view
– I have Custom Structure /%year%/%category%/%postname%/ for Permalinks

There aren’t known conflicts, but you’re the first I’ve heard using that framework so it’s possible they just haven’t come to light next. Does it work if you revert to the default 2011 theme, assuming you can test that?

Damn.

It works in the 2011 theme. It also works in a fresh install of the Roots framework theme. Looks like this is my problem, joy of joys!

Is there any other info I could give you that might help find the problem?

Fixed. For those that Google-up this thread in future I was using some query_post’s before the calendar was displayed, even resetting the loop didn’t fix it. Changed to using WP_Query’s instead and now now issue.

Nothing to do with Roots/WP, all me.
