MemberHey Tony. Have you checked out the widget customization article we put together, in case that may help? It can be found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-completely-customize-widgets/. Let me know if this doesn’t give you what you need.
Rob
MemberHi Derek. Thanks for the note, and sorry to hear you’re having issues. I’m actually unable to recreate the first part of your issue (making a new event while unaltering the second, thus leaving you with two of the same event). Can you elaborate on the exact criteria used to recreate that?
On the deleting issue: that’s a known bug in the 2.0.2 code base, but it will be fixed in 2.0.3 (which should be out early next week).
Rob
MemberSeth: thanks for the suggestions. On your first, regarding random dates…do you mean just the ability to have fields where you input a date of your choosing, and can add more (similar to how the “Add another” option for custom fields works, on the settings page)? I believe I understood the issue here but want to be sure. I like your idea of having the system know to link to the next event in the series; would be cool if that was something that was controllable on an event-by-event basis. Not sure what it’d take to implement but this gives me something to bring to the team. Thanks.
AJ: Yes! That has been requested and is on the radar for 2.1 or a subsequent release. Thanks for throwing a vote for that feature.

MemberHey Timothy. Might this FAQ post on the topic help you out (https://theeventscalendar.com/?qa_faqs=how-can-i-place-the-map-featured-image-below-the-event-description-instead-of-above)? Let me know if I’ve misunderstood your request here. Thanks!
Rob
MemberHey Timothy. It doesn’t look like the link came through…can you repost?
Rob
MemberThanks for confirming, UMaine. I’ve got the devs looking at this now — it sounds like there is something up here, though it’s weird that we’re unable to recreate it in certain environments. As soon as we can figure this out we’ll get a patch deployed in whatever the next release at that point may be (my guess is this’ll fall into 2.1).

MemberExcellent to hear! That’s great news and something the team here will be happy to hear. If anything else comes up going forward (between these two plugins or anything else related to Events Calendar PRO), let us know.
Rob
MemberThanks Michael. I would do that, yes — just to see what result it has. It’s definitely possible that this is a bug, though since we haven’t yet heard it reported it’d be good to know if this is a legacy 2.0.1 -> 2.0.2 item. I’ll get a dev to jump in from there.
Rob
MemberAlright. No problem. We should be able to identify what’s up with what we have so far. This fix should be included in 2.1, which we’re aiming to have out over the next few weeks. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more in the short term – and thanks for helping bring this to our attention.
Rob
MemberHey Steve. Thanks for your note, and for the corresponding email with the credentials (which I can confirm I’ve received). This one is a bit outside my area of expertise but I have our developer looking at it now. Hopefully he’ll be able to offer up some suggestions here directly; if not, I’ll run it up the flagpole.

MemberHey Tony. Thanks for the note; let me see if our developer Jonah has any suggestions on this. It’s hard for us to test against specific plugins due to our limited development bandwidth but maybe we can figure this out without having to do so. I’ve sent this to Jonah so he can take a look and share whatever thoughts he may have.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear, Nakturnal. If you can’t figure it out after giving this a go, let us know and we can take another stab on our end.

MemberThanks Jonny. With feedback from folks like yourself, we’re always working to make it better. Thanks again for the heads up and do let us know if you have any other questions.
Rob
MemberHey guys. Just a heads up that I talked this over with Jonah today, and we agreed this is worth proposing for a future release of the plugin. No guarantees as to when/if it’ll make it into the core code but we see value in it so I suspect it will be in the post-2.1 range.
In the shorter term, I’ve asked one of our advanced devs to take a look at this and see if there is a brief tutorial he can share on how to hack this together until something more substantive enters the code base. Stay tuned.
Rob
MemberHey again Timothy. This is a point a couple of users have raised over the last few weeks; seems like something the community would find valuable. If you’re willing, go ahead and post it over in the “Feature Requests” thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/)…we use that when we get together as a team to identify future features, so if you throw the suggestion in there it will definitely be weighted more heavily.
