MemberThanks for the words, Shane – definitely appreciated. I can see what you’re saying regarding having a new loop of some kind for the events themselves. I would suggest throwing this into the Feature Request thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/) so that it’s a contender when we meet internally to discuss the next round of includes post-2.1.
To give you something in the short term, let me have one of our more advanced devs take a look and see what they can offer up. You should have an answer here shortly.
Rob
MemberSure thing. We’re putting together a broader tutorial on how to do this, but in the interim I can get Jonah to try and offer up a quick walkthrough on what to do specifically.
Rob
MemberHey Jason. You should be able to drop code in here with < code >. It’d look like this:
This is my sample code text.Your core question here is an interesting one. This is a bit outside my area of expertise, but I’ve asked our developer Jonah to chime in on it. You should be hearing from him this afternoon. If you want to drop that code in whenever you can, it should be helpful for us.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear. Thanks for confirming! Please let us know if anything else comes up.
Rob
MemberThanks for confirming that it’s a conflict with another plugin, Sam. While we do what we can to provide integration tips with other plugins, it’s not an exact science so it’ll be hard to get everything 100% smooth. I would be happy to get a copy of PRO over to the dev behind WPtouch, and to work with them on whatever they need, to try and make things work…feel free to pass that along if you’re posting this same issue on their forum.
Rob
MemberHi Kori. Thanks for reporting this. One reason you may be having issues is that you’re running the events calendar plugins out of sync (2.0.2 for TEC & 2.0.1 for PRO). It’s advised that you keep these consistent…would you mind upgrading to 2.0.2 for PRO to see if your issue persists?
Rob
MemberHey Kevin. Thanks for the note; sorry to hear you’re having issues. I was just able to recreate this issue as well so it does seem to be a problem in the 2.0.2 code base. I’ve logged this with the team to fix since it does seem like a high priority item – we’re already in a code freeze for the 2.0.3 patch since it’s complete and ready to ship, but I’ve logged this for a 2.1 fix so we’ll hopefully be able to get a patch out there quickly. I apologize for the inconvenience you face in the interim.

MemberHey David. This too looks like it could be solved with template tags (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/). Have you given them a go?

MemberHi David. Thanks for the note and for your words on the plugin. If I understand what you want to do correctly, the use of template tags should be able to help you out. Have you checked our template tag documentation on this (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/) to see if it points you in the right direction?
Rob
MemberHi Sam. Thanks for the note. This should definitely not be happening – are you by chance running Events Calendar PRO 2.0.2 against a non-2.0.2 release of Events Calendar, ie 2.0.1? You should have the two consistent. Let me know if that’s not the root of the problem here and I can keep looking into it for you.
Rob
MemberHey Francisco. Thanks for the note. I’m not sure what would be causing this; let me get one of our devs to chime in with his thoughts.

MemberHey Adam. We’ll get you an answer on this one by the end of the weekend. No guarantees that we will be able to provide a resolution since it seems like there is some other element at play here for the users having problems (as not everyone is experiencing this), but we’ll do what we can. Apologies for the delay thus far.
Rob
MemberHey Jason. Thanks for the note. I am not sure about this; you won’t have to manually include it, no, but our developer Jonah may have an idea what’s up. I’ve passed this his way so he can comment directly.
Rob
MemberLet us know if you need anything else, Judd.
Rob
MemberHi Melody. Thanks for posting this. Over the past day or so we’ve identified this as a true bug in the plugin, caused when someone has event entry body/descriptions that are particularly long. We are working to fix this for the 2.1 release – in the interim, my best suggestion for keeping your Google Calendar link functional would be to try and keep those event descriptions as brief as possible. Not ideal, but unfortunately the best solution we’ve got until the true fix is deployed. Let me know if you have any other questions on this and I can elaborate as needed.
