Events that are overnight are resetting

Hey Guys,

I have an issue with editing recurring events. The problem is I have built a site for a nightclub owner who has several weekly events that technically span 2 days. That is they start at 8:00pm on a friday and end at 3:00am on a Saturday.

The first time the user enters the event everything is fine, BUT, if the user goes back to edit the event again a second time the date will reset itself to start at 8pm Saturday and END at 8pm Saturday.

My Client is having to reset the date every time and if they forget then it creates duplicate events. It is a bit frustrating for them, and I can’t seem to find a fix for it.

I will add a bug report with screenshots as well, but just wanted to give a heads up here just in case anyone else has encountered the problem.

Hey Kevin. Thanks for the note; sorry to hear you’re having issues. I was just able to recreate this issue as well so it does seem to be a problem in the 2.0.2 code base. I’ve logged this with the team to fix since it does seem like a high priority item – we’re already in a code freeze for the 2.0.3 patch since it’s complete and ready to ship, but I’ve logged this for a 2.1 fix so we’ll hopefully be able to get a patch out there quickly. I apologize for the inconvenience you face in the interim.

Same problem but not only for overnight events. When my end time is 12:00 PM, it resets this end time to the start time while updating event.
Could you inform me that this bug is still active ?

Hey Julien. This is unfortunately still an issue; we have it on the radar for 2.1 which we’re working on now. Apologies I couldn’t offer anything more substantive in the short-term.
