MemberSure thing, Robert. Let me see if Jonah has any ideas here. I’ll get him to take a look when he hits the forums tomorrow.

MemberHey Fabrice. The second request may be a bit complex and will require some customization on your end (though we’re looking to find a way to integrate it down the road), but for the first…have you checked out our tutorial on how to add a featured image to the next event widget? It’s not for the list, but it may point you in the right direction. Check it out and let me know: https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-show-featured-thumbnails-in-the-next-events-widget/. Cheers!

MemberHey Peter. Thanks. I’ve tested these, and with them installed I am not seeing this same issue: http://cl.ly/1S431r0F0S2T0V0M140o. Since I’m on the default 2011 theme with no other plugins active, my guess is this is a theme conflict in your instance. Can you try reverting to the 2011 theme (and deactivating your other plugins as needed) to see if that may actually be the case?
Rob
MemberAh, that makes sense. We have a bug with recurring events and default permalinks that came about in the 2.0 release and should be fixed for 2.1, now that we’re aware of the problem. So that should take care of the issue on the Events Calendar side. 2.1 is what we’re working on now and will have out between now and the end of March at the latest. (Feel free to check in between now and then if you’re looking for a more specific timetable as we know it). I realize that probably doesn’t help much in the immediate future, which I apologize for – but it’s unfortunately about all I can offer up at this point. Let me know if you’ve got any other questions or need anything else here.
Rob
MemberAh, excellent to hear you got this taken care of. Let us know if you need anything else here!
Rob
MemberYeah, that’s odd that it isn’t staying. Good news is we’ll be rolling out some better code handling in the forums in the coming weeks so this should become a non-issue.
Rob
MemberHey Robert. Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like what you’re trying to accomplish could be done using either the Eventbrite Ticketing add-on or the Community Events add-on. (Neither of those currently require PRO to operate; so long as you have the free The Events Calendar plugin you’ll be set). Eventbrite Ticketing will allow users to buy tickets or RSVP (in the form of “buying” a free ticket) to given events; Community Events will let you have frontend forms where users can submit event data. The recurrence options you want are the only that would require PRO.
The calendar (both the free core version and the PRO release) can allow for color-coding of categories, but it requires some customization on your end. We’ve put together a little tutorial on this: https://theeventscalendar.com/coloring-your-category-events/. Closed events are possible but are limited to WordPress’ “closed” functionality as it operates on regular Posts.
Hope that helps. If you’ve got other questions here, do let me know.
Rob
MemberHeck yeah man. Feel free to check in with us along the way (pro at tri.be) if you’re interested in a more concrete timetable as we know it.
Rob
MemberHey Stephen. I believe so; have you checked out our old thread on it? A lot of it was bug fixing, but it may be useful. Check it out: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/integration-with-gravity-forms/.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you need anything else from me here.
February 15, 2012 at 6:52 pm in reply to: How to delete a single event in a series of reoccurring events #15231Rob
MemberHey Ben. That should be fixed in the 2.0.4 code, which we’re releasing this week – but you can email pro at tri.be now with a link to this thread asking for that code and we’ll give it to you early if you want.
Rob
MemberAh, gotcha. That’s totally easy! Happy to help. You should just go into your wp-config file; you’ll find a section around line 72 for:
define(‘WPLANG’, ”);
Between the two apostrophes after WPLANG, add fr_FR if you’re changing to French. So it should look like:
define(‘WPLANG’, ‘fr_FR’);
Hope that helps! Let me know if it doesn’t.
Rob
MemberYou got it!
Rob
MemberAh, that’s something we’ll need to add down the road when we enable frontend organizer pages officially. I’ll see if our dev Jonah has any suggestions off the top of his head too.
Rob
MemberHey. You use code like < code >:
This is my test code.That help?
Rob
MemberHey Fabrice. Mind moving this over to its own thread? Probably not the best place for this discussion, as we’re tracking just showcase comments here. Please post that comment in its own new thread and we can respond appropriately from there. Thanks!
