MemberHey folks. Since we’ve had a couple requests for this so far, let me get one of our devs to take a look and see what it’d take to accomplish 🙂
Rob
MemberHey Christina. Have you checked out the “Showcase” thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/showcase-2-0/), to see if any of those sites are doing what you’ve requested here? May be worth reaching out to one of them if so.
Rob
MemberHey Scott. Thanks for the note. On these points:
1. Are they using the free The Events Calendar, rather than the PRO version? That’s where this problem should be happening (as PRO saves venue/organizer data). There is a bug along these lines which we’ll have patched in the 2.0.4 release, out over the next couple days. If you want it early (understanding that it is still a beta) email pro /a/ tri.be with a link to this thread and we’ll hook you up.
2. Not sure I understand this issue. This sounds like it may be a behavior related to how WordPress handles linking, rather than the events calendar itself? Let me know if I’m incorrect there.
Rob
MemberHey Sean. Have you checked out how to do something along these lines using template tags? Check out our documentation along those lines at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation. Let me know if you can’t find what you’re looking for there.
Rob
MemberHey Paul. Interesting question; let me see if Jonah has any ideas when he hits the forum this afternoon.
Rob
MemberHey Tom. Thanks for confirming; I understand the issue now. Should be pretty easy to troubleshoot that. We may need to take a look at the code you’re using, but I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look when he hits the forums today. He can address that first issue.
The recurring “Calendar of Events” header issue has come up a few times. Are you using the Headway theme, by chance (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-2-0-1headway2-0-13-displays-calendar-pagetitle-in-all-nav-items/)? If not, what theme are you on? It’s quite likely that it’s a conflict either with that or with another plugin; if you are in a position where you can revert to the 2011 theme to see if the issue persists, it’d be great. Let me know.
Rob
MemberStijn: 2.1 is going to be released by the end of March, but if you email me I can provide you with this. Send an email to pro /a/ tri.be, referencing this thread, and I will provide it to you from there. Thanks!

MemberSure thing. Thanks for your support.
Rob
MemberHey Dave, sure thing On these:
1. Yes, you can add as much or as little country data on each entry as you want. The venue details save so you can always go back to the saved entry and add/remove whatever you want; it’ll be automatically applied to all events at that venue.
2. The display settings are controlled entirely by WordPress’ date & time settings as configured under Settings –> General. If you can figure out how to format it (this should help: http://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time) it will carry over to then calendar as well.
3. See #2 above. I don’t believe WordPress allows for that but I haven’t looked into it. You may be able to hack something together if not, but it isn’t a function directly out of the box.
4. The only way to control how events appear in the default list view is the #, which is set by your overall WordPress settings for any blog loop. if you want to customize the output you can do so using template tags, we’ve got some documentation on how they work at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation.
5. Not sure I understand this one entirely, but if I do it’s a likely a product of your theme or the template settings. First thing I’d check is under Settings -> The Events Calendar, one of the other options in the template dropdown resolves that issue.Let me know if you need any elaboration on the points above, happy to answer whatever I can. Thanks for your interest.
Rob
MemberHey Andrea. Thanks for the note; interesting idea. I’m not aware of how to do this offhand but let me see if our dev Jonah has any ideas when he hits the forums tomorrow.
Rob
MemberNo, you definitely shouldn’t have to write them manually…but if they aren’t rendering by default out of the box, something else is at play. This obviously doesn’t happen traditionally upon activation. Does the same thing happen when you test on a default 2011 install with no other plugins active? Best way to identify what’s happening as I can see it would be to try deactivating other plugins (and the theme, if necessary) to see if something is conflicting. We can try to advise from there.
Sorry I couldn’t offer anything more specific. As this is the first time we’ve encountered this problem, that’s the best I can suggest to start.
Rob
MemberThat’s an odd issue, Austin – sorry to hear you’re having problems here. When I view your site and hang my mouse over an event in the grid view, I see the hover as I should: http://cl.ly/2K2a2g2z1r433v063h3A. Have I misunderstood the issue here? Let me know if so and I can adjust my response accordingly. Apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.
Rob
MemberHey Joe. This is an interesting request; let me see if our dev Joey has any ideas on this and whether there is any way to do it. I’ve sent this his way and asked him to respond directly if he does.
Rob
MemberHey Ken. Thanks for sharing this; not sure I understand your point on the East Coast/West Coast differentiation. If I understand correctly, you’re just asking whether the time data on the frontend will display differently depending on the viewer’s time zone – right? Let me know if I’ve misunderstood. Otherwise, that shouldn’t change…how it is set for the site itself should be what dictates how it appears, regardless of where the user is.
Rob
MemberHey Tom. This is an interesting issue; we’ve heard a few issues along these lines previously but nothing matching this exact criteria comes to mind. It’d be really helpful if we could see your site – any chance you’ve got a link? If not, a screenshot (with something like Cloud or a related tool; just dropping in a link to the image directly) should be helpful. We’ll try and look into it for you from there.
