MemberExcellent to hear! Happy to help, Richard. Please let us know whether you need anything else down the road. Thanks again for your use of Events Calendar PRO.
Rob
MemberLet us know how that goes, Thomas. Jonah can take another look if you’re still having issues from there.

MemberJonah: I’m seeing the same thing as Matt, on his first two examples above. Check it out: http://cl.ly/3s3K1A3l0p2m232t0x2W. I too am using Chrome on a Mac. Hope that helps.
Rob
MemberHey Peter. Let me get Jonah to respond on that last question; I don’t believe so but he can confirm.
Rob
MemberHey Filip. There should be an “Excerpt” box at the bottom of the event creation page on your site’s backend (may require you to enable under Screen Options though). If you put what you want “before the jump” in the excerpt field it will automatically create a read more/continued reading link for you.
Hope that helps! Let me know if not.
Rob
MemberHey Dawn. Thanks for the note; do you have an example you can share, or even a screenshot? It’s possible that if you’re using Thesis, it’s a theme conflict (I’m working with a user on a similar issue now) but let me know if you’re on a different theme and we can continue to troubleshoot as needed.
Rob
MemberHey Richard. It looks like your permalinks are enabled fine, so something else must be at play here. This is unfortunately a bit outside my area of expertise but I have asked our dev Jonah to take a look and comment directly when he hits the forums next. Stay tuned.
Rob
MemberHey Grace. Thanks for the note here and apologies that you’re having issues. Sadly there are a couple known problems with the iCal/Google Calendar imports as it stands. It sounds like your first issue is one that we’ve got in the works to fix for our 2.1 code base – that’s still a couple months out but is unfortunately the best I can offer up along those lines.
On the second and third points: also in 2.1 we’re going to rewrite the calendar function we use for Google Calendar’s functionality since the API has been updated a bit between 2.0’s launch and our current release.
All that to say, my apologies for the inconvenience so far. This is definitely on our radar and should be fixed as soon as possible. Please let me know if you have any other questions and I’d be happy to address them.
Rob
MemberHey again Edward. After checking out the backend of your site, it looks like the conflict here is that you’re trying to run Events Calendar PRO 2.0.4 with The Events Calendar 2.0.3. The plugin releases cannot be out of sync; if you update to the officially tagged 2.0.4 release for both plugins it should resolve this issue. Please let me know if that’s not the case though.
Rob
MemberHey Thomas. Thanks for the link; I am seeing the issue and it definitely looks like something is up here. This has gotten a bit outside my area of expertise but I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look and see if he can offer up any suggestions. Stay tuned and my continued apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.
Rob
MemberHey Peter! Yup, if I understand the request correctly, you should be able to accomplish it with the code I noted in this comment: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/calendar-of-events-title-change/page/3/#post-16510. Let us know if that doesn’t do the trick though.

MemberAh, if you have WPML active it is almost certainly a conflict there. Have you checked our existing threads on the issue, to see if any of them point you in the right direction? We are working to make the integration between PRO and WPML smoother for the 2.1 release, but at this point it is still relatively shaky.
Apologies I couldn’t offer up more here, and for the inconvenience in the interim. If you’re unable to dig up anything meaningful here in the forums let me know and I’ll try to find a thread that could be useful.
Rob
MemberHamish, John: have you tried the plugin solutions / code suggested above? The thousands of indexed pages issue should have been released with the code updated Hamish noted, so if you’re not running 2.0.4 for both code bases you should be. I suspect that the spike in soft 404 errors can be resolved by giving the suggestions above a shot, but let me know if I’m wrong there.
Rob
MemberExcellent! Let us know if we can do anything else here and we’ll try our best. Thanks, John 🙂
Rob
MemberHey Edward. Thanks for the follow-up. If you’d be so kind as to send those screenshots, along with a set of admin credentials for the site so we can check it out directly, to pro /a/ tri.be, I can take a look and try to figure out what’s up here. Definitely sounds like something is amiss and we want to do what we can to resolve this for you. Thanks!
