ParticipantHi @roblagatta
We seem to be having the issue of incorrect dates in the drop downs again. Nothing has been updated on our end (WP or TEC) so I’m not sure what is causing this…Here are a few examples…
http://fhespta.org/events/
http://barringtonpto.com/events/and to make things even stranger, this one on the exact same platform is working…
http://meiklejohnpta.com/events/We’re current with v 2.02, running wordpress multisite 3.2.1
Any ideas?Thanks so much!
Matt

MemberHey Matt. No problem; I assume you mean 2.0.4 per our email exchange but let me know if not. This may be an obvious one, but are there any similarities at all (either plugin-related, theme related or other custom code) between the first two sites and the third? Are all running 2.0.4 for BOTH free & PRO, and is that version of WPMU you’re talking about the latest as well?
I would also suggest – since you just did the update – making sure you resave your permalinks (no need to change anything, just resave) and see if the issue persists from there. On a few occasions that has resolved this problem.
If none of the above does the trick I will get Jonah from our team to take a look. Thanks!

ParticipantHi Rob – Yep, sorry, it’s 2.04 🙂
All sites are running the same versions of both PRO and Free. WPMU install is 3.2.1, we have not yet upgraded to 3.3 as there are some conflicts with other plugins, but it’s fairly up to date.
Only difference between school working and those that are not is that the working one didn’t have the License code added, but when I removed from the others, there was no change.
Just re-saved preferences to check as well and that did not solve the trick.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks!

MemberThanks for confirming as much, Matt. I don’t believe the slightly-outdated WPMU install would be responsible here but I’m not positive. I will get Jonah to check this out when he hits the forums this afternoon and we can keep trying to troubleshoot accordingly from there. Apologies for the inconvenience so far.

ParticipantHi Matt, just to confirm it looks like the dates in the drop downs are ok to me in Chrome but I do see the prev/next month links are incorrect. Is this not what you’re seeing? Can you post a screenshot?
Thanks,
JonahMarch 13, 2012 at 2:28 pm #16690Matt
ParticipantHi Jonah –
I’m on a mac, but just checked in FF, Chrome and Safari and they’re all the same. It’s the drop down we’re seeing as the issue, it says Feb and should be March.
Here’s a screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/mkShD6jhrnB
Thanks!

MemberJonah: I’m seeing the same thing as Matt, on his first two examples above. Check it out: http://cl.ly/3s3K1A3l0p2m232t0x2W. I too am using Chrome on a Mac. Hope that helps.

ParticipantHi guys – wanted to follow up on this, I’ve got a bunch of clients freaking out on me about not being able to use their calendar… Thanks!

MemberNo prob, Matt – thanks for the follow-up. Jonah, can you take another look to see if you’re able to recreate Matt’s issue?

ParticipantHi Matt, I see it now. Are all of these sites running the same theme? What about plugins? Have you tried deactivating plugins to rule out a conflict or reverting to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out a theme conflict?

ParticipantHI Jonah – Thanks for the follow up, sorry for the delayed reply, for some reason I’m not getting emails for the replies..
They are all running the same theme and we have tried deactivating the plug ins with no success. We are not able to revert back to 2011 theme as these are live sites with much activity. We’ve got about 600 sites on the network that are active, so it’s not possible to revert. The confusing part is that some work, and some do not, same theme, same settings, same install…

ParticipantHi Matt, did you deactivate all other plugins besides the Events Calendar? You may have to setup a development instance of the sites to be able to test on because it sounds like either a plugin or theme conflict.

ParticipantHI Jonah – I’ll have the team set up a development environment to start testing with plug in changes. The part that’s confusing me is that some of the calendars work and some do not, all with the same theme and plug in’s activated.

ParticipantHi Matt, that does sound strange but without having any parameters to try and duplicate the problem with, the only other things to check are version of WP, version of plugins, conflicts with others plugins or conflict with the theme. Everything is exactly the same in each website? Maybe you could provide me access to one of the sites with the problem and one without so I can try and find anything strange… Email credentials to jonah [at] tri [dot] be if you want me to take a look.

ParticipantIt’s FIXED! 🙂 After tons of testing, we finally found out that it was the simplest of answers. We were running a different calendar plugin previously on our sites and then introduced TEC. The users experiencing problems were still running the other calendar on their live site while copying the data over. We’ve determined that once we de-activate the other calendar, we’re all set. Feel rather silly for not realizing that months ago, but at least it’s fixed! Thank you guys for all of your help, it’s so massively appreciated!
Have a great week –
Matt
