MemberThanks for the suggestion, Lynn. That is an interesting one that actually hasn’t come up much yet. Any chance you’d be willing to throw a vote for it into the Feature Requests thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/)? We’re using that to gauge demand and thus plan future releases, so your voice would certainly carry some weight if you mentioned it there.
Meanwhile, let us know if any other issues along these lines arise down the road!

MemberHey Anthony. What exactly are you trying to do on the ajax loader front, and which widget were you referencing here? If you can provide some elaboration I’ll do what I can to point you in the right direction.
Rob
MemberHey Jeremy. This could just be a permalinks issue; have you resaved your permalinks after installing, then tried again? If not, can you share your permalink structure so we can take a look? Thanks in advance!
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear, Filip. Glad to be of service. Let us know what else we can do and thanks for your continued use of this plugin!
Rob
MemberThanks for the assist, Patti!
Duncan: glad to hear you got this ironed out. Let us know what else we can do.

MemberHey Dawn. I’ve been looking into this a bit further over the past day and have come to believe that this is related to an issue (which was previously just impacting Thesis, best we could tell until receiving your report) that causes that “Upcoming Events” title change. My best solution at this point lies in the current 2.0.5 code – any chance you’d be willing to give it a go? We’ve confirmed the fix but as we’re not running your theme have no way to test it in your specific instance. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll send to the email I have on record for you.
I assume during our exchange via email, at some point to diagnose this you’ve tested deactivation of other plugins so we can confirm that it isn’t a conflict there? If not please do.
Rob
MemberThanks Patti – so it sounds like you’re set, right? Let me know if not. Otherwise have a great evening and let us know what else we can do along these lines as you keep using the plugin.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear, Alan! Thanks for confirming as much. Sounds like we’re all set here but please let me know if you have any other issues down the road.

MemberHey Dan! Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear you’re having issues. On these points:
1. We definitely have some issues in the current code base with the iCal functionality; you’ll see a couple of the longest threads on the forum here are related to that. We’ve got it in the works to fix for 2.1 and you may find some stopgap solutions in the other threads that could work, but really we’ve dedicated a chunk of 2.1 to fixing calendar-related issues so the bulk of improvements will come then. My apologies for the inconvenience on that end.
2. Not sure about this one; my guess is we’ll need to wait until the Google Calendar API is updated to fully address this, but let me see if Jonah has any suggestions for how to hack it in the interim. I’ll get him to chime in directly if so.
Sorry I couldn’t offer up more in the short-term, Dan. Let me know if you’ve got any questions on my points above.
Rob
MemberThat’s a solid idea, Filip. While we’re in a feature freeze for the initial 1.0 Community release, I’m compiling requests for future builds and can definitely see the value here. I’ve added this to my list accordingly. Thanks for the tip.
Regarding the Excerpt box. Here’s how it shows up on my site: http://cl.ly/2x1o3J093z1U2B2M2i1T. You may need to reveal it under Screen Options at the top of the page though.
That help?
Rob
MemberHey Myriam. Thanks for the note here; sorry to hear that you’ve been having issues. Just so I understand the issue correctly: you’re saying you have The Events Calendar 2.0.4 AND Events Calendar PRO 2.0.4 active? The version numbers should be consistent so running 2.0.3 for one and 2.0.4 for the other won’t work.
If that’s not the issue, any chance you could post a screenshot of what you’re seeing on the backend with the plugins active? This is the first I’ve heard of your issue but want to do what I can to help get it resolved.
Rob
MemberAwesome to hear you got this figured out, Carlos. Hope your travels have been well 🙂
If you need anything else related to the plugin down the road, just holler.
Rob
MemberHey Maeda. Interesting request; what happens if you just go into the events for Monday/Tuesday, alter them in some way (that isn’t noticeable on the frontend) and then save them so that your updates are applied ONLY to that event (versus all in the series going forward). That would allow the recurrence pattern for open days to stay unaltered, but the Monday/Tuesday events would be broken out.
Would that be helpful in your situation, or am I misinterpreting the request?
Rob
MemberAh, gotcha. Alright – let me see if Jonah has any suggestions when he hits the forums later this morning.
