    Hi Andres,

    Thanks for reaching out to us, and sorry to hear about this issue. I’ll help you getting it right 🙂

    I could reproduce this on my mobile phone, I guess this might be a JS conflict but we will need to trouble shoot a bit more to confirm this: Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.

    Please let me know about your findings. I Hope we can make this right soon,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hi there Kelly,

    Thanks for reaching out to us! I’ll try to help you here.

    First of all let me say I’m not sure if this is possible at all, but maybe we can find a way around it. Please start by reading this knowledgebase article about Admin roles and permissions, it should add some context to our approach.

    How are you managing the roles in your site, are you using a plugin for this? Can you please link me to it? If I understood correctly you want to limit a given user role the capacity to add new or edit existing event categories, right?

    Please let me know about it,
    Best,
    Nico

    Howdy Andy,

    Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. I’ll help you figuring out what’s going one here!

    First of all, Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins. You can test this in your local/dev server.

    Then can you give me a couple of details from your set-up so I can try to re-create this on my end. Languages seem to be French and German, right? Which one is the default? Can you also please indicate which permalink structure you are using?

    And I have request for quick answer because I writing with this issue to othe support teams already for few weeks and client is unpatient now…

    Hey not sure about what other support teams you are referring to here (maybe WPML support). We try to reply once every 24hrs during week days so that’s what you should expect from us.

    Thanks for the detailed report, hope we can get this right soon,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hey Rafa,

    Thanks for reaching out on this! This a know-bug reported recently by other users and indeed is related to the last update.

    While downgrading the plugin would fix the issue, I do not recommend it because the latest update includes some security fixes you’ll want to have on your site. If this functionality isn’t critical for your site I would recommend waiting for this to be fixed, I don’t have a timeline for this fix but as a couple of folks reported this recently I guess it will be prioritized among other items.

    I’ll set this thread status to ‘Pending Fix’ so we can let you know when the fix is out,
    Thanks for your patience while we figure this out,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hi Melinda,

    Thanks for reaching out! I’ll help you here 🙂

    So let’s start by clarifying this WooTickets vs Events Tickets plus thing. Basically all our ‘old’ ticketing plugins (WooTickets, WP-Ecommerce Tickets, EDD Tickets and Shopp Tickets) got merged into two new plugins ‘Event Tickets’ (free) and ‘Event Tickets Plus’ (premium). All users holding a license for any old plugins are granted a license for ‘Event Tickets Plus’ so there’s no extra fee to migrate to the new plugins. Please read this knowledge base article: Moving to Event Tickets Plus, which reviews the process of migrating / updating the plugins.

    Regarding the current version of the plugins, you are a bit out-dated. Our plugins are now in the 4.0.x versions so before migrating or such please update to the latest versions. Update is smooth for most users, but we always recommend updating in a local or development server to test everything works as expected with your site set-up (theme, other plugins, etc) before going live.

    I have google WooCommerce documentation and can’t find anything? Could you give me a direct link or steps how to do this?

    You can check the WooCommerce Managing Orders guide were manual creating of orders is covered as well as some other useful tips.

    Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hi Linda,

    Thanks for following-up with the extra info! I’ve tested this on my end and you seem to be right about it. I’ve logged this as a new bug because as you said this wasn’t working like this before and you have no chance of showing a ‘no events for now’ message now!

    Digging into the code I’ve found the particular line which you can change to modify this behaviour. We usually don’t recommend patching core files (as plugin updates will clear the patches) but it seems this is the only way to make this issue right for now. So if you feel you really need this working, edit the file ‘events-calendar-pro/src/Tribe/Venue_Widget.php’ and in line 28 change:

    'hide_if_empty' => true,
    for
    'hide_if_empty' => false,

    This edit should do the trick for now, please let me know if it does for you,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hi @echidnaweb,

    Sorry to hear the snippet is not working for you 🙁

    I’ve just re-tested on my local install and I can confirm it’s working for me, so maybe there are some differences in our WordPress set-up. Can you re-check the snippet is in the right place (the functions.php file of the active theme)?

    It would be great if you could share your system information with me so I can check what version of the plugins you are using and also run some test with your same timezone settings.

    Please let me know about it,
    Best,
    Nico

    Howdy @echidnaweb,

    Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us!

    is it possible for the list-widget to only display today’s events?

    Sure, you’ll need to add the following snippet to your theme’s functions.php file (located at wp-content/themes/your_theme/):

    https://gist.github.com/niconerd/1ea01513ecb3717de67c

    Please give it a try and let me know about it,

    Hey Shelly,

    Thanks for reporting back and sorry for the hassle so far! Glad to hear you could import one of them…

    One important thing is the following: if you import an event from a feed and then manually delete it, it won’t be re-imported in the future. Do you think this behavior might be related with the issue you are having?

    We can check if the script is timing out in the server error logs, Can you access them? Maybe you can contact your hosting provider about it?

    Anything you recall doing different this time that worked?

    Please let me know about it,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hey Mark,

    Thanks for confirming! If you need this fixed asap you can downgrade the plugin to a previous version. If this issue isn’t critical for your site, just wait a bit until the fix is released.

    I’ll set this thread status to ‘Pending Fix’ and leave it open to notify you when we have news about how this goes,

    Hey Pau,

    Thanks for your interest in our products 🙂

    I need to create different pages showing different events based on categories; is that possible?

    Hopefully that page exists! Just categorize your events accordingly, then you can view them by category: http://yoursite.com/events/category/category_slug/.

    Also can the display by photo show only the excerpt, instead of full text as in your preview?

    Sure! All templates are editable 🙂 Please take a look at how our Themer’s guide for more details on this.

    in reply to: Sorting tags alphabetically in the filter bar #1060160

    Member

    Hey David,

    Thanks for reaching out to us on this – I’ll help you out!

    I think that tags already come ordered alphabetically (a-z), because that’s the default order for get_tags (the WordPress function that gets the values for the filter). I’ll leave a code sample of how to modify the results before displayed:

    /*
    * The Events Calendar - Change filter values order
    */
    add_filter( 'tribe_events_filter_values', 'tribe_re_order_filter_tags', 10, 2 );

    function tribe_re_order_filter_tags ( $values , $slug ){

    if ( $slug == 'tags' ) {
    sort($values); // a-z
    //rsort($values); // z-a
    }

    return $values;
    }

    Paste this snippet in the theme functions.php file located at wp-content/themes/your_theme/ and that should let you re-order the filters.

    Please let me know if this is what you were looking for,
    Best,
    Nico
