    Hello,

I am just setting up a Woocommerce based site for an alumni event that we are hosting. I have already created a WooCommerce Product and we have done a few successful pilot orders after integration to our payment gateway,

I then came across the Tickets Pro extension and I find the features to be exactly what we need for the alumni event.

Question: What is the best way to migrate the few successful orders into ticket sales that will appear in the reports.

Option 1: Link the old WooCommerce product as tickets to the Ticket Pro Event? I can’t find an option to link existing WooCommerce products to an Event.

Option 2: Change the product details of successful orders to the new Tickets that are to be created for the Event.

Both seem to require some fiddling in the database. I am brave enough to do this but would appreciate some guidance on my options listed above.

I could also refund the successful orders back to the customers and setup a new ticket but that means letting customers know that we were not fully ready.

    Howdy Ravi,

Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. I’ll try to help you decide what’s the best option here.

I don’t think there’s an easy way to migrate the orders into tickets attendee data other than manually ๐Ÿ™ Products can be linked by a meta field in the database, but I guess it will be better to set up everything again from scratch. Upfront it might sound like extra work but I’m sure that having everything correctly set up will save time in the future for sure!

For the customer that already purchased you can manually create orders for the new tickets and complete them from the backend without them have to do anything.

Please let me know if this sound right to you,
    Best,
    Nico

Noted your recommendations. I have manually created a new order and cancelled the old one. Thanks for your prompt support.
