MemberHi again,
I’m going to assume that you are all set here and close out the ticket, but please feel free to contact us again if the issue is still ongoing – you can do that by opening a brand new thread.
Thanks

MemberHey –
Thanks for confirming all of that. I do see this issue only happening to this one event so far. Can you confirm that it hasn’t occurred on any other events since you first reported this?
I’m going to get a developer to look at this also – but in the mean time could you try disabling the map view for a quick test and see what happens? You can do that in settings under the display tab. (screenshot: http://d.pr/i/Joz4)

MemberHi Klara –
I think the best thing to do at this point is to take make sure we split up that new issue so that it gets the attention it needs. Would you mind posting that one separately.
As for the layout issues, it seems that we may have had some issues with the Karma theme from other users. Unfortunately your particular theme from our experience interjects a lot of extra paragraph and break tags. This is because Karma waits until the very last moment and passes everything through formatting functions. One of the things we’ve offered as a suggestion is to use a pseudo shortcode [raw] like this [/raw] to mark areas that it should leave untouched. What you could do to test this suggestion is maybe add [raw] and [/raw] to the top and bottom of the main events page.
It might be a good idea to get your theme vendor to take a look at this also as they may have specific experience with other plugins doing the same and have a solution a little broader then our suggestion above.
Hope that gets you on the right path.

MemberYvette,
Sorry we’ve taken a while to get back to you – I’ve spoke to barry who’s involved in the other issue you mentioned. It sounds like that if you still do have the login issue AND the slide show issue then they are probably not related – or at least confirmed to be related – so I agreed with Barry to keep working off this ticket and he’d work of the other until we know other wise. You should hear from him shortly via the ticket above too.
With the issue originally noted here, if you are still having an issue logging in with TEC and TEC:CE activated the issue may be related to the block-admin-access settings in the Community setting. The obvious quick solution for this would be to check your logins are working just with TEC – then add TEC:CE back in and if you have an issue at that point take a careful look at all your users and roles and see what they look like.
At this point if this doesn’t resolve anything we may need to look deeper.

MemberNo Problem Liblogger – As it was such an edge case it did require a little back and forth….and back again 😉
I’ll mark this as closed – but feel free to open a new thread with any other issues you might find.
Thanks once again for your patience!

MemberHi Timothy,
Looks like you are all set here with Chris response. As he mentioned – its on the cards but we want to make sure that its very solid before a release.
I’m going to go ahead and close the ticket for now, but if you have any further questions or issues, feel free to open a new ticket and we’ll be happy to help
Cheers!

MemberHi There,
I just want to follow up from Chris here. We were on a light support team over the holidays so we are almost back to our 24 service reply window at the moment. Please let us know if you are still seeing the issue on your end? I took a look at your site and can’t say I saw the issue, but I may be missing something.

MemberHi Sebastain,
I touched base with some of the dev team today, and the info that came back is that this is on their radar. This is technically the intended behavior in our plugin at the moment as we don’t rigidly use the date/time format settings from WP. Now when I say intended we know that its not ideal, so based on your thread we are going to see if we can re – evaluate for a future release.
That being said we have got the option for themers to adjust the date and time format themselves and have made the date features Filterable. If you take a look at the themers guide we have all you need to get started and to make customizations such as this one. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/
I’m going to go ahead and close this particular thread out, as its as far as we can go at the moment with this particula issue in this context- BUT please feel free to start a new thread if you have any questions after looking through the themers guide and need any specific pointers with that.
Thanks again for taking the time and effort to point this out. The customization options in the themers guide should give you a temporary fix and with your feedback we can look int improving the plugin for future users with the same need.

MemberHey there,
Sorry to hear you are having an issue with this event.
First of all have you tried disabling all other plugins and also reverting your theme to a default theme? I think if we could rule out some of the potential compatibility issues we may be able to dig a little deeper for you.
As you mentioned you may be right this being an AJAX issue as I too see the spinning wheel – but just to be sure maybe try reset your permalinks and see if that helps – its a long shot but sometimes these link issues work themselves out with a permalings refresh.
If none of those items help let us know and we can take it from there.

MemberHi There,
Thanks for getting in contact about this issue. Apologies for the slower then normal response over the holidays but we are almost back to our regular service of replies within 24 hours.
First of all nice site! Really great photography of the vineyard!
So I took a quick look through the site and unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I was unable to recreate the issue.
Here’s what I saw for Feb: http://d.pr/i/5fMv
And here’s what I saw for Feb after navigating back and forth a few times: http://d.pr/i/sjdh – looks like I’m not missing anything on my end. Am I doing it right? Is the issue still occurring on your end too? I also went one step further and tried some of the other views and tried with my web tools inspector for Chrome – just to see if the JS was throwing an error.
Take a look again and see if you are still seeing it. The other thing it could be is an issue with a specific browser – what browser are you using to view this?
I hope the issue has cleared up in the mean time – but please let us know if not and we can help dig a little deeper.

MemberHi Sebastian,
I can see this occurring on my test site now and you are dead on this is an issue.
Thank you for taking the time to explain it and send us those detailed instructions and screenshots. I’ll get this logged with the dev team right away and I’ll be back to you pretty soon with an update.
Thanks again for your input!
