Disable having events from category in main view?

Hi,
I have a website that we are looking at having a “Community Events” section with just events from the community that are not shown on our main calendar. Is there a way to do this?

Our community calendar: http://www.millcreekmetroparks.org/events/category/community-events/

Thanks for the email – We are as you are aware on limited support team at the moment, so we may not be able to get you the exact help you need right away – but I’ll get the ball rolling for you.

Can you clarify for me a few things.

1) You still want to run the main events calendar here: http://www.millcreekmetroparks.org/events/

2) You don’t want any cross over between the calendars? i.e. community events only in the events calendar and admin generated events only in the main calendar?

If those two points above are correct I’d be happy to touch base with some of the developers and see what they think is plausible.

If you can also give us a scenario of this being used that might help us visualize the solutions for you and think about any edge cases.
