    Hey tewright13,

Sorry for the late reply. Would the recurring event work as solution for this?

Take a look at this tutorial: https://theeventscalendar.com/pro-2-0-a-detailed-look-at-custom-recurrence/

This would create an unspecified number of events and then you would simply has to go in to each of the other events and modify the changes you are looking to make.

I think this would address your needs is a way, but since this is based on the functionality of WP and we use the post type for each event it would be pretty tough to use one event page to generate multiple events all with different variations.

If you think that I’ve misinterpreted what you after maybe you can give us a few detailed examples of what you are looking for and post it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/tell-us-the-event-management-features-youd-like-to-see/ This will allow us to see if other users are after the same thing.

Hope that helps for now, i’m going to go ahead and close this ticket but please feel free to post any other comments in that user request functionality forum as it will get the attention from other user and they will be able to vote on any good suggestions.

    Thanks
    Neill

    Hi rossteasley,

Sorry for the late reply, we are doing all wee can to get back to our normal 24-48 hour window of support, and are hoping that will happen very soon.

As for your issue, its going to be a little tough figuring that out from our side, since it is actually something from the theme that is effecting it. What I’m going to do is get a developer to have a quick look at this and see if there is anything they can pass on. In the mean time would it be possible to tell us what you removed from general.php file as that might be a key to as to what we are looking for on our end. If you can use Snippi or a gist to show us any code that would be great.

    Thanks

    Hi Lauramma,

I’m very sorry this has taken a while for us to reply. We are working through getting back up to speed and should be back to our normal 24-48 hour promise of service shortly. In the meantime please except our apologies for this issue slipping through the cracks until now.

I would first just like to double check that I am seeing the same issue on my end and that what I see right now on your site is the intended sidebar width for the site. Here is a screenshot: http://d.pr/i/jaqc

If this is correct, did you mean that you would like the list of events to show up right beside the calendar. Also at the moment I’m finding it hard to find any events, would you be able to double check you have events in there for us to test with, or maybe create some test ones?

Apologies again for the late reply
    Thanks

    Hi gregoiregarneau,

Thanks for the question and apologies for a late reply. We are doing our best to catch up to our usual timeframe and hoping to get back to that 24-48 hour window very soon.

I just want to make sure I’m giving you the best possible answer, so I want to be sure which “find events” you are talking about. Is it this one here: http://d.pr/i/UBd6.

If so can you tell me if it is because the drop down is opening set to open when you load the page?

Also could you give us a screenshot to the the “link for see event before” as I’m not sure which this one is. Once I know for sure what we’re talking about I can definitely give you a point in the right direction.

    Thanks
    Neill

    Hi Anthony,

Thanks for this message and sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I would love to see which line of code you are talking about, so would it be possible to send us a link using gist of snippi to veiw it. We have an issue with pasting code in this forum at the moment, which we in the process of fixing. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for talking the time to share this, we love connecting with other developers and making sure we are providing the best product we can. When I get a look at the snippet of code, I’ll touch base with one of the dev’s and make sure its something we are aware of, or if not something we can dig deeper into.

    Thanks

    Hi Jmendes,

First of all apologies for not getting to this sooner. We are getting high loads of support at the moment and doing everything in our power to catch up including bringing in more support helpers.

I believe what you have got here is a bug that we noticed a couple of weeks back and I believe there is a fix for this released, however it looks like you have updated to the latest build of the plugin . Can I just confirm that is the case before we go any further.

If you have already updated, could you create a new test event for us real briefly and see if that has the same issue. There may be a chance that the fix has worked, but has not effected events created before you update to the new version of the plugin?

That should give us a good starting point.

    Hi cakeandeatitdesigns and Snorton,

So I jumped on after Leah asked me to take a look at this thread and then spoke with a developer about it.

There might be a cleaner way around this, and tell me if I’m missing something here, but the solution the developer came up with was utilizing: tribe_set_the_meta_template()

An example of how we can use this is here in this gist: https://gist.github.com/neillmcshea/6254480

So this is an example of how it can be used and it can be used to hook into ‘tribe_events_single_event_meta_templates’ and ‘tribe_events_single_event_meta_group_templates’ to change the tags.

Hopefully this is a pointer in the right direction. Let me know if there’s anything I missed.

Brian – Thanks, thats great! I’ll get these over to the developer right away. Thanks for the quick response.

@Michael – Sorry for the delay on this Michael, I can’t see anymore roadblock on our end so we should be able to get back to you guys pretty soon.

    Hey Brian,

We have worked with your code on our end and now have a better way of making sense of the issue with the error that is generated, however, we don’t have anymore of your specific events to play with anymore. If you are still getting this error, would you be able to provide us with some event IDs that are causing the error?

Thanks again and sorry for the back and forth, now that we have everything (with the exception of the event IDs). We should be able to get to the bottom of this pretty quickly.

    Hi Steve,

I’m very sorry for the delay in getting back to you. This is not our normal support service and should be back on top of it very soon with the addition of new support staff.

From the looks of your page it looks you may have removed the page that is creating the issue. If thats the case I completely understand that you may have had to move on to something else. However if you still need our help just let us know and we’ll be happy to jump back in.

    Apologies again for the delay.

    Hi Clare,

First of all we are very sorry for the delay in getting to you. We have been dealing with higher then normal volumes of support tickets due to the 3.0 release and to help this we are hiring 3 new support staff so we should be back to full service very soon.

For your particular issue, the first thing I’d have to check and see is if you are running plugins that might cause this issue. You may have already done these steps, and I apologies if you have, but it helps us narrow the issue down for you. If you haven’t you can check this by disabling each of your plugins and checking to see the result of the widget after you have disabled them. I’d also do the same with your theme and switch the theme back to the default theme like twenty twelve. If either of those two steps reveal that there was a conflict it will be helpful in giving you some advice to maybe work around it.

If neither of those issues make any difference then we’ll dig a little deeper for you.

Thanks Clare and apologies again for the delay in service.

    Hi Smallmammothdesign,

I just got back with a Developer who thinks this Gist here might help: https://gist.github.com/jazbek/6224473

This will disable the organizer website linking back to your wordpress site, AND will disable organizer links altogether.

Let me know how this works.
