MemberHi Henry,
Thanks for clarifying. What you’re describing is possible with our Eventbrite Tickets plugin. You can see some screenshots our Eventbrite Tickets product page and see a demo of the plugin on wpshindig.com.

MemberHey Geoff,
It can be tricky to estimate difficulty, as it depends on so many factors. But I’ll do my best 🙂
On the event list – is it possible to change the formatting/styles of the event title and description? It seems that the text in the description is larger than on the rest of our site.
> Is it possible to put a more explicit link or button from the event list to the details of the event? Right now it seems the only thing is the title is a link and that a perhaps too subtle to be noticed.
These issues are relatively simple ones. You might try searching the forums for answers, and also check out our Themer’s Guide to learn more about ways to customize the calendar’s style.
> We seem to have a formatting issue on the calendar view.
On the event detail,
> there is no event title?
> There seems to be a problem with the formatting of the event details.I see what you mean (thanks for providing the link). This might be resolved using theme templates, but it may also require a deeper dive into the theme code.
> It would be great to have a short excerpt description in the event list, with a longer one on the detail page. Is this possible?
> Now, I expect you to say no to this… this is a responsive theme and I was wondering how these pages might be expected to display on mobile/table forms.
This really depends on what you’re looking for in responsiveness. There are so many different configurations it is difficult for me to really answer this question. We try to make our calendar at least somewhat responsive, and have improved that for our upcoming 3.0 release. We haven’t done anything specific to make it mobile friendly, however. I recommend that you experiment to see if it’ll fit your needs in terms of responsiveness.
I hope I got your questions answered. Thanks again for your support.

MemberHi Ali,
One of our fans wrote a cool plugin that allows you to assign colors for different categories in the calendar. You can check that out in the WordPress plugin directory at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/
Does that answer your question? If not, I would appreciate it if you could post with more detail in our PRO forum. This Pre-Sales forum is for questions about the product, while the PRO forum is for general support questions. If you don’t have a PRO license, you’ll need to post in our open source forums at http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar

MemberHi Martin,
Thanks for getting in touch. I appreciate you getting in touch with the other plugin developer to shed some light on the issue. Please send us an email ([email protected]) referencing this thread and we’ll see what we can do to help out and make our plugin’s jQuery more compatible overall.
Thanks,

MemberMy apologies Harry, but I’m still a bit confused. Are you wanting site visitors to be able to say they are attending an event, or to submit their own events for your approval?

MemberHi Harry,
Thanks for your interest. Events Calendar PRO does not have any ticketing or registration function by itself. With Eventbrite Tickets, you can link your calendar events to the Eventbrite ticketing system. Visitors will be able to register and pay for events, and get tickets via email. This will happen on the Eventbrite site, with links from your event.
However, our Eventbrite Tickets plugin (nor Eventbrite itself, to my knowledge) does not include the ability for visitors to book specific seats.
Does that answer your questions?

MemberHi Geoff,
The link showed me more than nothing, although I see that you do have some styling issues in calendar view and the individual event pages. Those are likely the results of a theme conflict. Are you still seeing a blank page? Have you tried reverting to the default Twenty Twelve theme and seeing if the issue persists? That would help diagnose it as a theme conflict.
We do our best to make sure our software is compatible with as many themes as possible, but of course we can’t guarantee every one. We do our best to help our PRO users get theme conflicts resolved, but there are limits to what we can do. I highly recommend that you get in touch with the theme’s developer to see if they can shed some light on the situation.
If you already have a PRO license, I’d love to have you move your questions to our PRO forum. Hopefully theme forest and our support team will be able to help you get things running smoothly- keep us posted.
Cheers,

MemberHi Tin,
I’m not sure I completely understand your question- when you click on an event from the widget (for example http://d.pr/i/KwQt) it takes you to that event page, which has all the info. Is that what you meant?

MemberHi Bart,
At this time, the ticket does not include a barcode or QR code. Instead, there is a unique verification number on it. Here’s an example: http://d.pr/i/ak6M
You can learn more about how it works: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/wootickets-new-user-primer/#wooshow
