February 22, 2013 at 12:35 pm in reply to: Compatability Question: Events Calendar, Facebook, Woo Tickets, Community Events #33248
Leah
MemberHi Lauren,
Thanks for getting in touch and for your support of our products. The short answer is yes, all the plugins should integrate and work nicely together. One thing that is important to note, however, is that at this time it is not possible for users to submit events and include ticketing via WooTickets. You can still add WooTickets to those events, but only from the admin side of things. Similarly, you can add tickets to events brought in from Facebook, but only from the WordPress back end. The plugins should also all play well with Jet Pack.
Does that answer your questions?

MemberHi Mohaimenul,
Thanks for your interest. You might want to check out our plugin Community Events, which allows users to submit events from the front end. If you paired that with our Events Calendar PRO, you could have people add recurring events. You can read more about Community Events here: https://theeventscalendar.com/wordpress-community-events/ Hopefully that would help you not even have to mess with the code. Does that help?

MemberHi Joe,
Personal and Business only refers to the number of sites the license key can be used on (one and three, respectively). You can use the “Personal” license on a business site or the “Business” license for your own sites, no problems.
The license key must be purchased or renewed each year. One purchase gives you one year of access to support, downloads, and automatic updates. After that, the plugin will continue to work, but you will not be able to update. Happily, renewals are at a discount price.

MemberHi Jason,
Currently, the only way to pull events into Events Calendar is if those events are on Eventbrite or Facebook and you have our corresponding importer add-ons. We are currently working on an importer plugin that will allow people to import events using .csv files. Hopefully we’ll release that with Events Calendar 3.0.

MemberHi Lori,
Thanks for your inquiry. At this time, the recurring event function does not allow for intervals like you described. Those would need to be two separate events with similar recurrence settings but different dates. Does that answer your question?

MemberHi Kait,
The featured image functionality is a part of the general WordPress software, not part of our plugin. It works the same on events as it would for a regular WordPress post. I searched and found this walk through for you: http://support.onswipe.com/customer/portal/articles/531469-setting-a-featured-image-in-wordpress

MemberHi Ryan,
We do have a non-profit partnership program for select organizations. Send us an email at pro (at) tri.be and we can discuss further.

MemberHi Alison,
Thanks for getting in touch, and for your interest in our plugin. We are currently working on version 3.0 of our plugin. The PRO 3.0 plugin will include a photo view that is somewhat similar to the Timely view you linked to. When that’s ready, you’ll be able to see some screenshots of our photo view. Keep an eye on our website and social media for a release announcement.
To add images in list view, just use the featured image on events. That will give you the image or thumbnails in both views, and is also how the photo view will work in 3.0.
Does that answer your questions?

MemberHey Geoff,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble as well. My advice is the same- you’ll want to get in touch with the theme developer to see if they have some idea about where the conflict is. If the dev feels like the issue is on our end, do please let us know and we’ll see what we can do. But unfortunately most theme conflicts are simply outside our scope of support.
Good luck,
LeahLeah
MemberThanks for getting in touch and for your interest in Conference Manager. We have not prioritizing work on the plugin as we are instead working to improve and expand our Events Calendar Pro and prepare for the upcoming release of version 3.0. For now, Conference Manager is on hold so I can’t really tell you anything about planned features, our road map or release schedule.
I’d recommend that you join our newsletter on https://theeventscalendar.com/ (down at the bottom, on the right) so you can stay on top of our news. You are not the only user excited about Conference Manager, and we do our best to listen to customer demand. That would also be the best place to hear about a beta for the plugin. Thank you again for your interest, as well as for your patience.
Cheers,

MemberAlas, it is. We’re hoping to make something like this happen in the future.

MemberHi Missla,
Thanks for getting in touch. Currently, the event list is organized by the start date of an event, regardless of the length of that event. The Calendar view gives you a month at a time, and a month-long event would show up on each day in the grid (for example http://d.pr/i/K6Y2).
You cannot currently limit the calendar to only the list view, although you can set that as default under Events/Settings/General. Happily, you will be able to limit the options in our upcoming 3.0 release.
I recommend that you download our free core plugin, the Events Calendar, and experiment to see if it will work for you. That way you don’t need to purchase anything, but if you like it and would also like PRO functionality you can upgrade.
Does that answer your questions?

MemberHi Elizabeth,
Yes, that is possible. You can add an image into the description of the event, or use a featured image. The events are custom post types, so the following guides to using images in posts will help you to use them for events:

MemberHi there,
Thanks for your interest. The Events Calendar Pro does support recurring events. For ticketing, you would need our WooTickets plugin. With WooTickets, users can buy tickets to events and pay via PayPal. That could work for you, although tickets are somewhat different then direct registration. You can see what that might look like on our demo site (http://wpshindig.com/event/the-events-calendar-wootickets-wordpress-demo/).
The demo site shows the basics of the event and ticket system. You may be able to customize it to look more like the link you included, but that would require a significant amount of code and developer knowledge, and is not something we could assist you with.
Does that answer your questions?
