Thanks for getting in touch. Currently, the event list is organized by the start date of an event, regardless of the length of that event. The Calendar view gives you a month at a time, and a month-long event would show up on each day in the grid (for example http://d.pr/i/K6Y2).
You cannot currently limit the calendar to only the list view, although you can set that as default under Events/Settings/General. Happily, you will be able to limit the options in our upcoming 3.0 release.
I recommend that you download our free core plugin, the Events Calendar, and experiment to see if it will work for you. That way you don’t need to purchase anything, but if you like it and would also like PRO functionality you can upgrade.
