    Hi Cosmin,

Thanks so much for contributing to the Romanian translations! I really appreciate it. I checked the files, and it looks like they didn’t get updated with the latest .pot file. To do this, open the .po files you made in PoEdit. Then click Category –> Update from POT File. Select the .pot file from the /lang folder you downloaded above, and the new strings will then be available in your .po file for you to translate. Then you’ll be able to have totally updated translations, and I can add them to the plugins.

The EDD translation looks good already, so you don’t need to update that one. But please update the others and upload the files for me.

    Thank you!

    Hi seifenigel,

Great catch! Thanks so much for reporting this. I was able to replicate the problem, so I’ve ticketed this for a fix in an upcoming release. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention, and thanks for your patience while we get it fixed.

Thanks Martin! I received your files and they look great. They’ll be added to the next release of the plugin.

If anyone else wants to use the German EDD Tickets translation, you can download the files at http://d.pr/f/haqZ.

Martin, I’ll be emailing you shortly with a coupon 🙂

    Hi Daniel,

Thanks for translating! Can you please post the .mo file too? Also, I’ll need you to update the translation for The Events Calendar- we do them as a pair. Then I can test the files and then ticket them for inclusion in the plugin.

The translations will be including in an upcoming maintenance version of the plugins. But you can use them now. Just add the files to the /lang folder for the plugin (replacing the existing de_DE files). Then switch your site’s language to German. We have a mini tutorial here.

    Cheers,

    Leah

Thanks Daniel! These look great. We’ll be adding them to a future maintenance release of the plugin. I will email you shortly with a coupon for some free license keys.

We’re also looking for someone to update our Italian translation of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO. Would you be interested in helping with that?

    Hi kcsanta,

Thanks for posting. Some elements of the calendar, such as days of the week and month names, are translated by WordPress itself and not via our plugin translations. This means that if you do not have the WordPress translation files loaded for your language you will see some untranslated words in your calendar, even with your language set in wp-config. To fix this, you’ll need to download and install WordPress for your language. Then the Day View (and other Views) should be fully translated.

    Hi SeeDborg,

Thanks for your note. At this time our widgets are only able to show dates in US format. It might be possible the change this with a template override or other customization, but we wouldn’t be able to help out much with that beyond pointing at our tutorials and documentation.

If you’d like, you can add this as a feature request on our UserVoice page. Adding it there will help get it on the radar for inclusion in a future build.

    Hi seifenigel,

I really appreciate you reporting this! What’s funny is that on my site, running The Events Calendar 3.3.1, I see the correct translation. I’m glad you were able to get it working properly on your site.

    Cheers,

    Leah

    Hi petrivirta,

Thanks for getting in touch! The Finnish translation for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO is out of date, which is why some of the strings are not getting translated. Would you be interested in updating the translation for us? That would be really great because then the whole thing would be updated and other users could have a Finnish translation.

If you’re interested in updating the translation for us, you can find instructions and files in our Getting Started post. Thank you!

    Hi sasavukovicpg,

Thanks for volunteering! I’d love to have you translate The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO into Montenegrin. You can find the instructions and files in our Getting Started post. Once you’re done, you can post the files here for me to review and add to the plugin.

    Best,

    Leah
