ParticipantHello humanesocietytampabay,
I’m sorry that our plugin is not working for you. Unfortunately, it’s a known issue with Windows servers that we currently don’t have a fix for. It is, however, on our radar and we do still have an open ticket for it. There was also a discussion earlier this year that might give you some small insight (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/cant-import-fb-events/page/2/#post-31844).
At the moment, I don’t have a timetable for when this might be addressed, but we do have maintenance releases that go out frequently so it could find it’s way into one of those. I apologize that we don’t have something better for you at the moment.

ParticipantHi again sboliner,
I’m glad you found something that helped. Finding the CSS that you need can be a bit of a hunt, but it looks like you’ve had some success. Try looking for class = “tribe-events-visuallyhidden”. I think that might be the one that does the trick.
Let me know if I can be of any additional help.

ParticipantHi again ngaire,
Keep an eye out as we make maintenance releases and maybe one of them will solve this issue. And if you do find your own solutions, please do share! Thank you for offering!

ParticipantHello jgiovanazzi,
Yes, I see the thread that you are referring to. What you want to do is crossing over into the realm of customization though. About the only help we can provide there is what’s up over at http://docs.tri.be. I think you’ll find the information you need to do what you want over there. Maybe start with http://docs.tri.be/Facebook-Events/class-Tribe_FB_Importer.html?

ParticipantHello schulzmischke,
I’m a little confused, so pardon me if I ask a few questions.
First, I’m seeing the event you indicated on both your developing site as well as your production site. We’re you able to successfully import it then? Did something change since you made your post?
Another initial thought I had was perhaps it has to do with your Facebook credentials (Facebook App ID and Secret). Did you get that entered correctly on the production site?
Let’s start with that and go from there.

ParticipantHi jen,
Sounds like it could possibly be a setting in your WordPress installation that might be off. Can you go to your Dashboard area under Settings > Timezone and verify that the time zone is set to your local time?
Please verify that and let me know if it fixes the problem. If it doesn’t do the trick, could you please provide which time zone you have set it to and which time zone you want it to be in?

ParticipantI’m moving this over to the PRO forum so other users who face this problem down the road have it as a frame of reference. Hopefully we’ll be able to ensure smoother integration in a future maintenance build.

ParticipantHi richardantondiaz,
My first thought is that perhaps your site’s time zone isn’t set properly. Have you changed that in your site settings? (From the Dashboard it’s under Settings > General > Timezone)
Please verify that and let me know what happens before we dig any deeper. If it doesn’t do the trick, could you please provide which time zone you have set it to and which time zone you want it to be in?

ParticipantHi sboliner,
White on white is never a good choice. Besides it’s after Labor Day! 🙂
I don’t know how comfortable you are with modifying CSS files, but you might be able to find some information in the Customizing Styles section of our Themer’s Guide that could help. (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/#customizingstyles) If you’ve found the place to change the font color, you’ll just need to look for something similar where the links are defined. You could also take the approach of overriding the styles template with your own.
If you need some further assistance, please ask!

ParticipantHi ngaire,
This is unfortunately still a known conflict. Once we get through the bugs in our codebase and are able to evaluate integrating with other plugins, we’ll look into this a bit more and will see what it takes, but we don’t have a timetable at this point.
Sorry I can be of more help at this time. If you have any other questions, we’ll do our best to assist.

ParticipantHey there commongoodsa,
Hmmm… I see what you mean regarding the shading for the sidebar showing up on the single event page. I don’t see it on either the monthly or weekly calendar grids though, and I don’t see it on the list view either. I’m thinking its something with your theme not registering the custom post type on that page properly. Have you checked with your theme developer? We’d be happy to work with them to get it sorted. There might also be some useful info on the Themer’s Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/ that could possibly help too.
See what you can find out there and let us know if we can be of any further help.

ParticipantHello Gabriele,
It sounds like what would work best for you, understanding that you want to have people sign up for events for free, is the combination of our free The Events Calendar plugin in and the premium (paid) WooCommerce Tickets add-on. You can certainly set the price of “tickets” to zero. That would give you both the ability to limit the number of sign-ups and see a list of attendees. And to be clear, WooCommerce Tickets resides on your website. Your visitors aren’t “sent” anywhere for free tickets. They would only have to bump out to a payment gateway to enter payment information if the tickets had a price.
Let me know if you have any more questions!

ParticipantHi lilgivers,
Now that you’re a Modern Tribe customer, you’ll probably get better info over in our other, non pre-sales, forums – in this instance the WooCommerce Tickets forum. They’ll be especially helpful when you ask questions regarding customization.
I’ll send you over their way, but until then, have you seen our Themer’s Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/? That might have some of the information you’re looking for.

ParticipantDaniel,
Yes!
With the Events Calendar PRO (paid) plugin you can add a Calendar Widget where you can filter what gets displayed (or doesn’t get displayed) in the sidebar. You may not even have to create a separate template file. You can also setup separate pages for your categories if you want to display them in other views.
Let me know if that was, or especially if it wasn’t, the answer your question!
