correct
December 19, 2012 at 1:07 pm #29798BarryMemberOK, I’d certainly expect a longer access token, something like this would be more typical:
https://graph.facebook.com/456712346789234?access_token=123456789012345|a1b2c3d4e5f6g7h8i9j10k11l12m
What I’m going to do if possible is refer this to one of the developers who worked on the plugin as they can probably track this down more quickly than I can.
I would ask for your patience however as response times may be slower than usual at this time of year.
December 19, 2012 at 1:08 pm #29799BarryMember… Just to confirm – is it possible the URL you posted was truncated by our forum software? We do often experience that sort of problem when people post code, etc.
December 19, 2012 at 5:48 pm #29820AnneParticipantNope. I just get string(55) “https://graph.facebook.com/415925005147110?access_token”
There is no data in the access-token parameter field.December 20, 2012 at 2:55 pm #29887BarryMemberThanks Anne.
I’m waiting on some input from one of the developers (who may contact you directly in this thread if necessary) and would ask for your patience, as members of both the support and development teams have less availability than normal over the festive period.
December 20, 2012 at 3:03 pm #29888BarryMember(For my own and Jonah’s benefit, our own reference for this problem is #19046)
December 27, 2012 at 4:19 pm #30046FlorisParticipantHello Barry,
I’m facing exactly the same issue. The funny thing is that everything works fine on a dev server, but moving the whole site to a production server, it stops working. Same WP/plugin/add-on version.
The string I get back is even shorter:
string(55) “https://graph.facebook.com/418330661558710?access_token”
I could give you access to both servers, if you want.
Best regards,
Floris.December 28, 2012 at 8:22 am #30069BarryMemberHi Floris – thanks for that 🙂 … It could definitely be useful for the developers to have direct access.
Please note we’re still running with limited resources over this final stretch of the festive period but we’ll get on top of this as quickly as we can afterwards.
Thanks for your patience,
Barry
December 28, 2012 at 6:40 pm #30088AnneParticipantHappy Holidays to everybody! But, hopefully, someone will be back to work soon. Still need help! Thanks! 🙂
Hey, @Floris, glad to hear it’s not just me. 🙂
December 31, 2012 at 8:45 am #30116BarryMemberHi guys, just a note to say you haven’t been forgotten about but we’re still operating at a reduced tempo (and will be until Wednesday this week).
Thanks so much for your patience.
January 2, 2013 at 10:30 am #30189BarryMemberAnne: this is in progress and we’re just waiting for one of the devs who are sufficiently knowledgeable about the Facebook Events code to become available.
Thanks again 🙂
January 2, 2013 at 5:12 pm #30219AnneParticipantThanks for the update, Barry. Hope they can help me figure it out soon. 🙂
January 8, 2013 at 11:07 am #30441AnneParticipantAny idea when someone will be able to help me with this problem?
January 8, 2013 at 11:31 am #30444BarryMemberSorry, Anne. Let me check with the devs to see what the status of this is.
January 9, 2013 at 4:04 am #30485SababaMemberI have a similar problem. I can import events from my own page, but when I try to import another, public, event I get “Unsupported get request.”
