MemberHello Chris!
I have just the medicine you need 🙂 We have a Themer’s guide to customizing the events calendar and it will contain what you need to know to be able to make these changes, although you should have some background knowledge of CSS, HTML and maybe some PHP to do what you are describing.https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/
So glad you like the plugin! That’s so awesome to hear 🙂

MemberHi Bob, is it possible to get the link to your site where this is happening? Have you made any modifications to the calendar files so far and ruled those out as possible sources for the duplication?
Can you also tell me if you have tried disabling all other plugins, and if this happens on the Twenty Eleven theme?
Thanks! Hope to get this resolved for you!

MemberInteresting, thanks Andy, I look forward to the end result! I think many users will find it useful 🙂

MemberHi Diane, does the theme have a name, or is it’s name the number? Can you send us a copy of your theme, linking to this forum post in your message, at [email protected] – we will take a look to see if we can help. Thanks!

MemberHi Diane,I talked to someone who might know what’s going on – but can you tell us what theme you’re using? That might determine the solution.

MemberHi Peter, my guess is you’ll have to custom code that feature in. But it’s a good idea. You could add it to our feature request forum: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/

MemberHi James, the Default Event Template is a full-width template, so that’s probably why your widgets fall underneath. Are you using Genesis? If so, we have a Genesis guide to using the Events Calendar Pro that might help, and if even if it’s not Genesis in particular, it can give a lot of clues about how to get a theme to work with the calendar: https://theeventscalendar.com/tutorial-integrating-the-events-calendar-w-genesis/
Hope this helps give more direction!

MemberHello James,
Curious to know this happens when you use the Default Events Template? The answer could be that there is some CSS going on in the Default Page Template (controlled by your theme) that is causing this to happen. If you really want to stick with that template, you might have to modify some code. We have a guide to customization here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/using-full-month-name-for-title-on-table-mini-php/However, you will need to know some basic CSS to be able to fix this.
I hope this helps! Do let me know if you are able to get it fixed with the Default Events Template.

MemberHello Magezi and Steve. This is really strange, I have not seen this before but it’s great that you’ve pointed it out. I will ask Jonah to look at this, in case it is a glitch with our code. However, I have a feeling (I could be wrong), that there is CSS from your theme’s style sheet conflicting with the css of The Events Calendar, which does happen with plugins sometimes. I tried to look for what this might be but couldn’t find anything in particular. I do see that the part of the calendar that is stretching out for you is inheriting a lot of styles from style.css, though non in particular I’m able to point specifically to the “stretching” problem.
So I just wanted you to know that we’re here and hopefully Jonah will be able to look at this really soon.
Thanks for your patience!

MemberHello Krysia, I have asked Jonah to look at this for you. However, another user had the same question, and he was able to get it working, would this help? https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/using-full-month-name-for-title-on-table-mini-php/

MemberHi Jesse! Glad you were able to figure this out!!! Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

MemberHello Peter,
The Events List Advanced Widget in the Widgets area should do what you are asking (if I’m understanding correctly). Then if you want to further customize it (for example to have the message that says “No events scheduled today”), you can check out our Themer’s guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/
Let me know if this helps!

MemberHello Tony, is this for the Community Events add-on, or for users who would be creating events in the back of a WordPress site? And just to be sure, you’re talking about “Additional Fields,” is that correct?
Also, have you checked out our Themer’s guide to customizing the Events Calendar? It might not contain the exact answer you are looking for, but it will at least point you in the right direction of how to start modifying things: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/
