MemberHello Doug, unfortunately without any testing on your end to help us out, it will be hard for us to help you narrow down the issue. Have you checked your CSS files or customizations on a test site to see if eliminating some of those help?

MemberHello Michelle,
This is likely to do with your theme’s CSS. You may need to add some padding to your paragraphs in your child theme’s CSS file. There is a plugin called TinyMCE that gives a lot of editing features, but one of their settings is a checkbox that tells WordPress to stop removing HTML and to display all HTML in the HTML view. So with that you could also manually add breaks, but I see you don’t want to have to do that.I’d say the best route is to target the paragraphs in your CSS file.
Let me know if this helps!

MemberHello Diane, thanks for that I got the message and just wrote you back. We will need an actual copy of the theme files if you have them. Thanks!

MemberThat’s great, glad you found it. I just found out that’s what we have – the documentation page 🙂 Let me know if there’s anything else you need

MemberHello Triangle Arts and Entertainment,
I don’t think updating will affect your customization, however I would advise you to make a back up of your site before updating, and make sure you know how to restore the site if you need to resort to that. You should create backups before updating anything.
Are you using WordPress menus feature to control your navigation? I would definitely recommend doing this if you haven’t switched to that method yet. It can really help solve problems like this and give you more control over your menus throughout your site.
Have you tried re-creating the categories after disabling the plugin to get your menus back?
Also, have you tried disabling all other plugins to see if that solve the issue?
Does this happen on the latest version of Twenty Eleven theme?
Since you’ve made customizations to the calendar files, have you ruled those out as possibly being the cause of this?
I hope this helps!

MemberHi Will,
This is an interesting question. We do have a Community Events add-on, which allows users to add events from the front-end of the web site, would that do what you need it to do?If you are thinking to have users login and use your WordPress back end to add events to calendars, you could always give them each their own Category. There are some tutorials on our site, as well as a themer’s guide, to customizing the look and display of the categories, which might be useful to you when it comes time to install and set everything up.
Does that answer your question? If not let me know!

MemberHi Terri,
Can you link to your site?
Also, have you tried disabling all other plugins to see if that solve the issue?
Does this happen on the latest version of Twenty Eleven theme?
Are you using the latest versions of our plugin and all our add-ons?
Have you made any customizations to the calendar files, and if so, have you ruled those out as possibly being the cause of this?I hope to help you get this fixed soon!
(by the way, you posted this in the pre-sales forum, I’m going to move it to the Events Calendar PRO forum)

MemberHello Alan, yes we have non-profit licenses. Can you email us at [email protected] and we’ll get you set up?
About the Multisite capabilities, the only thing I could direct you on is to check out our Themer’s guide. It will definitely take some coding work: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/
Hopefully that will give you an idea of the direction you’ll need to take to get that going.
If not, let me know.

MemberHi Jesse, I just wanted you to know that I’ve gotten your message and while this is outside my area of expertise, I am going to ask Jonah to have a look at it. Sorry I can’t be of more immediate help!
Just to be sure, have you looked at our Themer’s guide? https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/
It might not have the exact answer you’re looking for but it might lead you in the right direction in the mean time.

MemberHi Andrew!
Thanks for posting here. It’s great you found some tutorials already. I’m curious, have you checked out our Themer’s guide to customizing the events calendar? https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/It might not have the exact answer you’re looking for but maybe it will help lead you in the right direction.
I will also see if Jonah has any input.

MemberHello Tony, have you checkout out our Themer’s guide? It might not have the direct answer you’re looking for, but it might at least lead you in the right direction. This is a level of customization we don’t normally support, however I’ll see if it’s simple enough that Jonah can help with. Here is the Themer’s guide to get you started:

MemberOh that’s wonderful! I was just going to post the link to it but I guess you figured it out! You can go ahead an update in your WordPress plugins page. It was an issue that started with 3.4

MemberHi Krysia, this is out of my range of expertise, but let’s see what Jonah has to say about it. Sorry you’re having this issue.

MemberHi Andrew, I’m glad you got a workaround going in the mean time. I have asked Jonah to take a look at this request for you. He should be able to respond soon.
