Josh
ParticipantHey Tac,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
As an initial step, we have a great knowledgebase article that’ll help with the proper setup for how the PayPal integration should work with our plugin. If you follow that particular process there, does the issue persist?
The split between site owner and seller is determined by the Flat Fee or Percentage fee that you add within the Community Tickets settings. When a user creates the ticket, the user would receive the amount they set per ticket and you as the site owner would receive the fee that is set within those settings.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
March 25, 2016 at 11:49 am in reply to: New Events Calendar Upgrade 4.1.0.1. deactivated Pro and Community Events #1094217Josh
ParticipantHey Annette,
What are the particular errors that you received when updating?
We did have an issue with the previous release where the plugins became deactivated because the folder names changed with the automatic update and the files “no longer existed” at the known locations within WordPress. You could then just reactivate and everything would work just fine.
The same issue would have occurred when updating again because the folder names were corrected.
If you activate the plugins that have been updated, are you able to activate or is there another error that gets displayed there?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Martin,
You can use the “excerpt_length” filter to change the length of the excerpt that is used in all of our templates. However, looking at your site, it appears that you were able to get the display the way you would like it there?
Let me know if I’m misunderstanding though.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Ian,
Would you mind sending me a link to the calendar that you’re trying to import so I can test with the file directly?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Jennifer,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’m sorry to hear you’re having troubles with our plugin.
- For this one, can you verify that you’ve followed the Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t a conflict with an existing plugin or theme? If so, you can also turn WP_DEBUG on in your site’s wp-config.php file and see if any additional information is output with the failed imports.
- The multiday events should display on the calendar. Once successfully added, are the events not showing on the associated dates?
- If the import is failing, the scheduled imports will most likely fail for the same reasons. Once we get to the bottom of that first issue it should address this one.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Kenna,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I can see an issue with the URLs on the site, however I’m not seeing the same issue you describe. Currently, when I go to your calendar, I see the recurring events and when I click on them initially I get taken to the 404 page due to a malformed URL.
As an initial step, have you tried following our Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t a conflict with an existing plugin or theme?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Benjamin,
This sounds like an interesting issue here.
Unfortunately, this is how the feature is intended to function. When you “Edit Upcoming” you’re essentially creating a second recurring event that is now different than all the events that came before. It’s now as if you have two recurring events created, one set to never and and one with a set end date.
The best approach here would be to edit the event in whole to adjust the recurrence to have an end date. This way you’re not creating the second event and the single recurring event will now have an end to the recurrence.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Riccardo,
I’m not sure I follow on the PDF ticket? Are you referring to the general ticket email that gets sent when a user purchases? Or do you have another plugin that converts the emails into PDFs?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey AJ,
What you’re describing here is the associated issue that we do currently have logged and will have a fix available in the upcoming maintenance release.
You’ll be notified here as we make progress on this one.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Fabrice,
We are limited in the amount of customization support we are able to provide but I’ll try to get you pointed in the right direction here.
There are a few approaches you could take here.
- You could take a look at the Event Settings > Display tab and see if you could set up the date formats there to fit the structure you’re wanting for the display here. Associated links can be found there to help with seeing the options for the formats
- The next would be to follow the existing suggestion in this thread and use the “tribe_events_event_schedule_details” filter to change the output. With this, you would create a function within your theme’s functions.php file that changes the output provided by the associated function within the functions > template-tags > general.php file starting at line #867 as of version 4.1.
Thanks!
March 25, 2016 at 11:08 am in reply to: Possible Bug: Recurring Events – Can't Show Second Event on First Day of Series #1094177Josh
ParticipantHey Martha,
Thanks for following up with this information.
Out of curiosity here (and to give me the information I need to help recreate/troubleshoot). Could you send me a screenshot of the full settings for creating the recurring event within your dashboard?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Blankbeard,
You would start following the folder structure after “views” folder. So, the path for your “organizer.php” file should be at MyTheme > tribe-events > modules > meta > organizer.php.
The link for the organizer website is built with the “tribe_get_organizer_website_url()” function. This happens to be a pluggable function, meaning you can recreate a new function in your theme with the same exact name (tribe_get_organizer_website_url) and add your output there.
Additionally, there is a filter here so you could also customize by taking advantage of the “tribe_get_organizer_website_url” filter.
You can find the code within the plugin at functions > template-tags > organizer.php
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Alison,
I’ll extend the license for another month. By that time there should be a response on the internal feature request ticket that I’ve created and you should be notified here.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Christine,
It appears that you may be running into two separate issues here. To start, the PHP errors you’re noticing were an issue in a previous version of the plugin but should be addressed in the latest version. Does the issue persist when updating to the latest versions of the plugins?
Once we’ve cleared those out of the way we can switch gears back over to the original issue here.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Matt,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
It looks like there are some javascript issues on the page once something is “filtered”. You can see this further in action when using the datepicker and then trying to change the date again after the ajax finishes loading. You won’t be able to select a new date.
Did this happen after the latest update on your site? Does the issue persist if you switch to a default theme here?
Thanks!
